120km ride today in just under 4 hours around a lumpy loop. Last long ride before heading to the Alpes. That was around 2,700 calories burnt for all you weight watchers. Cycling for the win![]()
How many pills did you take for that mate?

You live in London don't you Bruce? Where do you ride? You get out of the city right?
Got chocolate flavour protein shake, tastes horrid though.
Soon as I'm back in Preston, I shall hit the gym.
Indeed I am. Or yes I do, if I stop typing like an idiot.
I managed to do a 65min run covering 6miles, the hardest bit of endurance I've ever put myself through.
)Good on you man.
Anyone here ever done a Super Sprint Triathlon? It might not sound like much to some of you, but given my past asthmatic issues it'd be a huge achievement. Hoping to do one next year.
Riding in a big gear is great for getting big legs. Bit like doing squats. Most of the pros do so called over-geared riding in the close season/early part of the year to gain strength.
I got much the same as you with regards the gym. When I swam I'd go in there for 2 hours at a time. Just gets a bit boring after a while though doesn't it?
A lot of folks forget the diet part though I reckon. There was a lass in the gym the other day, looked a bit blokish to be fair, huge great arms on her. Not an ounce of fat though. Her diet must have been pretty good. You don't get a six pack by doing lots of sit ups. All about the diet.
