Its a machine in Boots. I doubted how accurate it would be, but if you make sure you stand completely straight, and don't wear shoes and a jacket, it gets it pretty much spot on.

About 10% and you will see ab's clearly when you tense them. round about 6% and you can see them clear as day at all times. Eating and drinking close to the measurement is what will throw it off as it send electrical impulses through your body and the amount of time they take to reach to opposite point is what lets it know your bf%.

Will keep that in mind Stek, I had cereal an hour and a bit before, hope it didn't throw it out by any.

Would be delighted with 10%, I guess that has to be the overall goal to keep myself motivated. At the moment I do 3 varied cardio and 1 all round body weight session a week. Seems to be getting rid of the fat.

Ah ok, so scales based? Got a set of those at home, send pulses through your body and work it out via that. Don't know how accurate they are in comparison to calipers etc. but I suppose if you measure like with like then you can at least see progression.

Cardio is key I think, and something most gym bunnies over look. For instance my 90minute turbo session on the bike last night burnt a comfortable 1,200 calories. A session of weight training for that time would probably do 3-400 max.

Yes, first of all if measures your weight and height. Then once it knows that you grip these handles at the side and I guess it does the electrical impulses via that. Then you key in your sex and age, and voila. It gives you a key from 'Excellent' (10.2%) to 'Poor' (29.1%), with a few inbetween.

Good going that Bruce, bet you've got some serious quads and calves.

I did a big chest session yesterday for the first time in weeks. I hadn't done flat bench press in ages, I usually go the gym by myself and I haven't got the balls to do it without a spotter so just usually use dumbbells. I was gutted that the most I could lift was 65KG, whilst my mate easily repped out 120KG the absolute mutant.

Cool. So long as you try and make sure you do it at the same time each day and with as close to the same food/drink inside you each day then it'll give you a good idea of improvement.
