I'm trying to clean up my diet after slipping back in to my old habits but we've got family up from down south at the moment and the house is filled with cakes, cookies, doughnuts, cakes, cakes, cakes *starts dribbling*

FFS!

Anyone got any recommendations for exercise bikes to use at home? Looking at no more than 200 quid really. I'm considering the York Perform 210 but any pointers would be appreciated. I probably run about 40-50km a week so I'm in reasonable shape but looking for something to cross train on that can give me a decent workout.

...sit in front of a computer all day so try and gym at least 3 times per week. Been this morning, 30 mins jog, just under 6k. Will probably go again mid-week.

Is the place to come if I want to admit that I feel like a fatass and should lose some weight? (This is a purely hypothetical question).

depends how you want to go about it.

I went the peptide route ... 6'2", 220 lbs, bf @ 4% from same weight and bf @ 19%. Cleaned up my diet a lot initially and (not be design) now I can drink and eat what I like.

the peptide guru is "Dat B True" ... honestly.

Pretty much same here, and I'm just about managing that (pretty much ideal weight for me to start bulking up imo, feel great as well) and we're gonna go to the gf's house in 2 weeks, where everyone's gonna have unhealthy food all the time ffs.

At least it's on an island so I can go running all day if I wanted to!

Get a turbo trainer - you can fold it up and stash it away for the 99% of the time that it's not used!

Skated for 5 solid hours around the historic Goodwood motor circuit yesterday, clocking 107km. Lovely day out. All the training is coming together nicely. Big race is 5 weeks away. Another couple of high-mileage weekends and I'll be ready!!

I keep shrinking!
68kg - that's a 12kg lost since last October!
BMI 23.4, body fat around 9% I'd estimate.

Now actually fallen well below the target weight I set myself, which was 70kg.

Let's talk supplement secrets, guys -share everything you know! I've really been looking into this in my ultimate quest for sports science knowledge.

So far I've started using creatine in very low doses to assist with strength and power (even though I'm primarily looking for endurance, power is not inconsequential), and now supplement my workouts with Amino acid tablets and D-Ribose.

In my energy drink I now have a mixture of:

Superstarch (slow release carb)
MCT Oil (Provides ketones)
Honey (small carb hit, taste)
coconut water (electrolyes)
coconut milk (fats, MCTs)
Amino Acid tablets (protects lean tissue)
D-Ribose (promotes ATP production)
Pro Plus (alertness)

I tend to only use this mixture for longer sessions - 2hrs+. Anything shorter I use just water.

What do you consider a very low dose, creatine wise?

If you're lower than your ideal weight have you considered using Carbs to instigate an insulin spike in your post workout phase? Could improve recovery and uptake.

Tried out my free weights the first time day before yesterday. Bit of a pain but taking them on and off and putting the buffers on the ends but to be honest the pro's outweigh the cons. I don't have to bother travelling to the gym or paying £35 a month (gymns on my island are expensive) and I get to listen to whatever tunes I want to in my garage. Plus the faffing about sort of counts as my break between sets/exercises.

Also because I've only really got time to do it twice a week, I'm going to do all round body sessions. So far I've decided on;

chest press
incline chest press
shoulder press
deadlift
clean and jerk
squats

any thoughts? feel free to rip that apart, best all round exercises.
