Well in lid. Lash that six pack out like a fking mad man on Sunny Beach this summer and let the bitches see how hard you been working yourself. Finger every single one of them.
Sunny Beach is a dire, evil place, that I'm never going to... and you know that you bad wum xx

But anyway, far off a sixpack yet, but if I get in good enough shape - I'll be happy with that. I'll also get the tattoos that I've wanted for a while...

Patience my friend, patience.

One step at a time. Nothing is more sweeter than putting in the effort for months and months and then gradually you being to see results. Results that boost your confidence and give you that extra push to keep going. Patience is of the key things to working out mate. It takes time....

you see these loons giving up after 3 or 4 weeks because they think doing 20 sit ups and a couple of round of planks a day should be giving them washboard abs.

Keep up the good work lad, eat right and drink right and you're onto a winner

I did, as per your recommendations. There's a lite version that I found that's free, and the paid one is a quid. Haven't tried it yet myself, but will do that soon enough.

Also, good news everyone (sorta) - I've lost a lot of weight since January (a bit more than a stone!), and am finally close to happy with how I look (I never like myself). Still a lot of work to do, but the first step's there I suppose!

You should like yourself, you're a sound lid.

But a stone is good going

Managed to lose a stone and drop to 15st since the end of February.

I would have lost it a few weeks earlier but after losing my job I've just sat at home like a scruff and ate everything in sight out of pity.

Shame Saturday is my official cheat day and no doubt Everton will have me comfort eating from 3pm.

Ah well. Hoping I can drop another stone as soon as possible starting from tomorrow.

Nice.... Thats great work lad

Each to their own like, but im not a believer of this ' cheat days ' thing. I just don't think its a great idea as it messes with your way of thinking. The key to me losing all my weight was getting in a better frame of mind regarding my habits. It took weeks but over time i eliminated my bad habits ( binge drinking, snacking on junk through boredom etc ). Its all in your mind and what you have taken on in your life that you refer to as ' normal '.

For example a bad habit i had was that it was 'normal' to binge drink watching the footie on the TV. Tuesdays at a pub near me was 25c buffalo wings. Just bad habits that you pick up as part of your routine. I eliminated all of this and through the course of about 10 weeks, i had cleared my mind set, re-set it if you will and now i don't even think about doing my old habits.

Having a cheat day for me wasn't possible. It poisons your mind where you start to think ' Can i have that today, should i '. Its a strange way of thinking

Spot on from @blue4eva77 there - and same for me. I can't have one of those cheat days, and it did take me a while to make myself snack on better/healthier things, but I'd say it was worth it...
Its totally worth it.....

Ive learned so much about nutrition in the last 10 months its incredible and each and everyone can too. The difference between people though, is the mentality of it. Its so easy to destroy a curry on a Saturday night and swill it down with 10 pints because you're influenced by your mates.

I cheat day every weekend and its sound. Maybe not for everybody but makes it more realistic. When on the weekend you find yourself choosing healthy food that's when you know you've kicked it.

Cheat days are cheating yourself. Women convince themselves they have to have them
It's whatever works for you, if you can stick to a cheat day and just a cheat day when you start, eventually those cravings will go away, personally I think its betters to make small gradual adjustments to your diet, after one month make more and then so on until your eating a healthy diet, without going through a stage of withdrawal

Any experienced front-crawl swimmers here? Been doing it for about 6 months and (very slowly) building up my endurance. About 3 weeks ago I managed to get to my pb so far of 1500m in about an hour (crap I know but OK in relation to the point I started from!). But since that 'peak' my stamina has completely dropped off a cliff. I swim about 200m and my body starts to feel like a lead weight, I can hardly kick my legs any more and I have to stop.

Is that a normal phase to go through? I can't think of any causes for it other than I've been working a lot of overtime recently and it could be hitting my energy levels. Any other theories as to what the cause could be? Cheers

Sounds like you're just a bit worn out. It's easy to believe that it's only our exercise that tires us out, but the rest of life can have at least as big an impact upon our performance levels. Are you getting plenty of sleep etc.?
