Just hit the gym for the first time in 2 weeks and I've somehow managed to put on 4 pounds, result!
Are you trying to gain weight, mate?

Yeah I am, but not by too much. I'm 13st 2 at the moment and I'd love to get back up to 13st 7, and eventually maybe 14, we'll see how long that takes though!
Eat reguarly, have a flapjack in between meals for instance. Get downing protein shakes post gym, as your muscle mass builds so will your weight.
* awaits the Mad-cat.
Thanks for reminding me.
I've just fished out my filthy protein shaker and out of curiosity I had a sniff. It's Possibly the most horrendous smelling thing I've ever come across. Smells like eggs and fart.
*Sniffs again*
I've just smashed in a massive takeaway.
**** you fitness gurus, I play by my own rules
That's called Scottish Cross Training mate, be proud.
I'll sort it out next month with an all vodka diet
I need to gain about a bit of weight ideally. I'm making plans to go to the gym once a week, and I do excercise at least 2 or 3 times a week. Will going to the gym once a week help?
Any helps but if you're looking to build muscle mass then probably not much as you'll have to do an all body workout on that one day, and the rest of the days you'll be doing cardio (I presume) which will keep your weight down.
I'm usually wrong on fitness, maddison knows miles more than I do, but I tend to have a guide that is like once a week for maintenance, twice a week for maintenance and some progress, three times a week and more is progress.
madisson would be better to ask like, he knows his stuff. Apart from the beauty of protein shakes.
I have literally no upper body muscle. It's all in my legs. Just need to get slightly stronger to improve my swimming times and enable me to elbow the opposing centre backs more efficiently
I was once like a rake mate, so know the feeling. If you're committed to it then it's pretty easy to build up mate, seriously. Just don't fall into the trap of trying to out lift anyone else, I don't even know what my maximum one rep is. I just focus on what I have to do bit by bit. If you've got good fitness as a foundation then you'll do well.
Get into the gym and ask a fitness instructor to do you a workout for building mass, you'll need to change exercises then every two months as your body gets used to what you're doing. Three times a week for less than an hour, done.
Arse. Cheers for that mate, but three times a week is going to be fairly impossible.
