Derby matches = all bets are off. I've seen us win them going into them with worse form, and lose them when playing well and going in as favourites.

they arent stetting the world alight either though are they!!

theyve been lucky in all there games so far just like always!!

Things just need to be tweaked slightly. For one, stop Arteta monopolising all the dead ball and corners. He's constantly failing to get the ball over 'the first man; at corners and it undoes all the hard work put in to get the corner in the first place.

Stop the long balls and hopeful crosses from Neville, the man used to be a regular for Manchester United, England and is now our Captain yet cannot cross a ball or distribute without it hitting some one in the Upper Bullens. Playing high balls to Osman is like pissing in the wind.

Communication, There appears to be none between Neville, the back four or between them and Tim Howard, and now with the added confusion of having two central midfielders with no common language - Eye contact and hand gesturing is not going to be enough. Not in this league at the pace it's played. Some one at the club needs to invest in some Rosetta Stone language discs!

The Derby, this is going to one of the first games were we're not going to have any Liverpool born players as first choice players who will be dying to 'get at the reds' . To most it's going to be just 'another game but which some how has some relevance' . Unlike the R.S who will have the likes of Stevie G Laaaa and Carragher pumped up along with the rest of them.

It's gonna be a stern test for us on and off the pitch. If we play like we have so far this season - we're screwed. I for one think Keane is going to break his duck against us and if we go a goal behind we're going to resort to our usual 'Plan B' and I fear for who ever sits in the Park end or the Gladwys Street when that happens.

We need to show the lads some dvd's of previous Derby's ; Sharpies goal, Duncs celebration, Carsley's screamer.. and show them what Derby's really mean to People's club!! And that Saturday is just not another pay day for them!

Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war!:@

A Derby is a Derby and form goes out the window in this match. If we were near the bottom and them near the top we'd still give them a game. The only thing that worries me about this match is the ref. If he's fair and lets the game flow it'll turn out fine. Cant see him doing that tho. He's booked more players this season than any other ref and the Derby is always heated. The [Poor language removed] arent looking forward to playing us cos they've not been playing well themselves and they're as dodgy at the back as we are. Come on you Blue boys we can win this. 2-1 to us. If I'm wrong I'll eat my steering wheel.

The priority now has to be staying in distance of the european places, we are only three points of the European places, surely our form has to pick up given the quality in the squad, we are still waiting for that sense of cohesion and form. A clean sheet would do wonders for the defence.

Mike Riley 'fair and balanced' ? The man is an enigma . The once 12th man in a Manchester United shirt actually turned his back on them v Chelski. So Christ knows what frame of mind he will be on saturday . He's notorious for being one of the least free flowing refs around and some of his decisions have baffled psychologists and fans for years now.:dodgy:

Old Mother Riley . Never has a more fitting name been given to a ref.(n)

Gotta remember the pressure is all on the reds.

Sky Sports | Football | News | Reina's fear of failure

Jose Reina knows Liverpool cannot afford many more Premier League 'failures' if they are to challenge for the title this term.

The Reds were being touted as real contenders after their 2-1 home victory over Premier League and European champions Manchester United, but they followed that with a 0-0 home draw against newly-promoted Stoke.

Next up for Rafael Benitez's men is the Merseyside derby against Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday, live on Sky Sports 1 and HD1.

And Spanish goalkeeper Reina knows they must bounce back from the disappointment of their stalemate with the Potters, where Steven Gerrard had an early free-kick ruled out.

Its up to us to make sure they choke big-time.

Moyesey will be slapping butts and phsycing up the boys now, and Cahill will be knawing his arms off to get on the park
