Gibson injury

His position is the priority for strengthening in my eyes. He is a really important player, but he has recurrent injuries and doesn't seem to take proper care of himself either.

The last thing you said is a load of rubbish, he's injury prone.

Some players avoid injuries, others aren't built as well like Gibson.

...it's amazing how some lads struggle with muscular as opposed to joint injuries. I know this from when I played because dodgy hamstrings finished me off, but you would have to think that in this day and age it would all be about the right training and preparation. It is a concern.

Which ligament though, knee, ankle?. As he even had the surgery to rectify his troublesome thigh problem?.

Why do you say this mate? his body doesn't seem capable of playing 90 minutes most games.

It's well known that he smokes, practically lives off KFC and can be found propping bars up at all hours of the night.

He also takes the gherkin off his Quarter Pounders.

What injuries did he suffer from last season? do hope Martinez is aware of this and doesn't rely on him like Moyes, we need another CM asap.

...generally it seems to be thigh muscles. Mainly impacts sprinters like Michael Owen so its a bit odd because this lad isn't that type. Ian Sonodin really suffered, once his started to go he never really came back. Tears leave scars that are likely to go again. It like having frayed elastic bands in your legs.

Martinez also provided an update on Darron Gibson who was forced off just before half-time with a knee problem.

The Everton boss continued: "Darron is the only negative. We have been quite fortunate throughout pre-season not to pick up knocks and bruises, but in the warm-up he opened his knee slightly, so he's got a grade one ligament problem.

"We'll have a clearer idea of it in the next 48 hours."

So he got injured in the warm up and somebody thought it would be a good idea for him to play anyway.

I guess its cos of all those midfield options we have.

don't know if the rumours are true about him smoking, drinking and bad eating habits, if this is the case then maybe they why his body is so weak. He doing my head in now with his injuries.

These players are not babies, I would rather risk Gibson then Fellaini is that was the choice mate.

Spitting bits of paper through his maccies straw onto the ceiling is what got him to us in the first place I've heard ?

He was purchased for peanuts well because all we can afford is peanuts and the lad came with a sick note.
