When he chased back early in the game last night, he looked absolutely knackered afterwards and was panting like an old dog. Not sure what is wrong with his fitness levels but something does not look right.

Because he sprinted 3/4 the length of the pitch at the speed of a 100m runner. They look knackered after a race as well. It didn't effect his game and was making runs all night and was the only one running in behind.

I actually thought he had a good game. As you said his all round game has improved but now his crossing is poor although I put that down to having no one to aim for just as much as him. His finishing has always been poor which is surprising because he hits the ball so cleanly.

I want to see him played as a 10. KDB didn't become the player he is until he was moved into that position and I think it will be the same for Gerry.

Ok you were obviously happy with his performance last night, it would help if he had the end product after his runs in behind the defence. His shooting was wayward to say the least. I've seen Gerry play some blinding performances for Everton but last night was not one of them.

It wasn't a blinding performance but Valencia was awful. Bolasie, Mirallas, Barkley, Lennon and Gerry didn't create a chance for him all night.

We can either blame those players are just accept Valencia was a panic buy and is turd.

Well since none of those players created chances mate I'd suggest that that's probably the issue...

Valencia got a 'chance' on two occasions - both times he made hit the target if I'm not mistaken. Pritchard's block was definitely a handball as well.

None of our players created any chances for him. Not the two wingers who started. Not the two who came on.

Yet they have been creating chances for fun for Rom. I think we need to accept where the problem lies.

Mate we have a player in his early 20's who can't last past the 60 min mark of a game, early 20's for Christ sake, does countless step overs then loses the ball, in the Swansea game I even seen him refuse a pass because he either couldn't be bothered or just to nackered, had a good game against bourgh in the 1/4 final can't remember much since, there's a reason we only paid 4m for him and no other team were interested.

I posted this earlier in the year and I stand by every word of it, got nowhere near the Barca 1st team ( no great shame there) think it was Seville where again he hardly got a game and now at Everton he can't hold down a 1st team spot, my own feeling is he's just not good enough.
You can drew parallels with Manny Fenandez, had a couple of half decent games and people went completely overboard about him, to the point people on here were still saying we should sign him years after he left. I hope this guy proves me wrong but unless he seriously ups his game I'll be surprised if he's here next season.

He has already played in the league for Barca's first team. Even missing most of the season with Sevilla he still ended one of their top assists leaders. The reason why he was dropped was his work rate which has come on leaps and bounds.

I think your memory is playing tricks because he was the reason we won rather than lost against West Brom last season and was by far our most productive winger last season.

This season he has been played either as a lone striker against Spurs and West Brom or been sub or started on the wing with practically no CF to aim for. Give him a run of games playing with Rom and he would start creating again.
