That's too black and white.

The cop that killed him wasn't trying to kill him. However

Isn't that the same as now?

Sorry I have probably misinterpreted it.
nope, not misinterpreted.
There's a lot of similarities.

But there's no way of knowing if the cop was trying to kill him or not. Apparently they were both bouncers at the same restaurant over a period of something like 17 years.

Yes, thus the face from Jim
The first part of that reply wasn't actually for a reply lol it was a reply earlier I didn't bother to make. So ignore that point.

Just go from the isn't that the same as now line

@Ruairi77

I don't believe he was trying to kill him BUT the treatment of him is still the issue and fueled by racism

At the risk of playing devil's advocate, but his whole crew who were white were also arrested. Not justifying it whatsoever, but I'm not convinced their arrest was racially motivated.
yea, I guess it all depends on who gave the order and why.
I think it's more likely that most of those cops absolutely f'n hate CNN after 3 years of being told to despise them.

problem is, he wasn't trying not to kill him either.
Just very heavy handed in detaining him.

Happens all the time in America. Where the racism flows from, the old saying by many black Americans that their prison systems are filled with people of colour on minor offences.

It's the whole system, it's a far deeper discussion than just that. It's not black or white (no pun intended) but at the end of the day when things like this happen, far too often , there is a real underlying issue.

That's why English crying about racism 90% of the time are cry arsing. We don't know real racism here , bar someone slinging a slur in a direction. This is real racism, when a crime commited by a white person would have a different reaction based on their skin colour. Decades worth, this isn't a one off occasion, decades and it still happens.

Yet when someone does anything about it , racism kicks right back in. Football player takes a knee, it's twisted into how unpatriotic it is , city riots and it's an over reaction.
