Haven't read through this thread, but lemme guess: A few predictable Trump-supporters here are trying to temper the outrage with their home-grown, can't-connect-the-dots logic about "burning buildings is bad" as if one event isn't connected to another, or that in the spectrum of massive amounts of structural racism, quid pro quo somehow doesn't translate to murder --> looting.
Likewise, I havent ready through the whole thread yet.
Good to see the police officer having been charged. His history raises questions too about how he must have been supervised, mentored, additional training etc and to some extent why not dismissed at one of those earlier instances. However without all the details it's hard to speculate.
Nevertheless, at what point does one think it's ok to destroyed businesses, buildings etc in the name of protest. I fail to see how it equates with itself.
At the end of the day, it's not right.
It's not right George was killed at the hands of those police in those circumstances. But I just don't see how they looting etc supports the cause.
