More of a ‘white lads centering themselves in the conversation’ kinda vibe today.Whats the 'white lads feeling unreasonably threatened' level in here?

It’s actually risen since 2016. What happened then I wonder?I wonder why?
But still no noticeable change over the years, and what levels we do have are very low.
Exactly. That's not a restriction of their message solely to "white upon black". Even within that very quote you pulled, Pete. But your fixation on the term "white supremacy" in the quote while minimizing the rest it and/or any other message regarding the aims of BLM is telling.Taken straight from their website….
”BlackLivesMatter was founded in 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer. Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, Inc. is a global organization in the US, UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes.”
Not sure where you grew up, Pete, but I was born in 1967. That year the murder rate in the United States was higher than it was in 2019. Further, the current US crime rate is about half what it was 30 years ago.I agree it’s partly systemic and certainly there are elements of racism. Poverty doesn’t distinguish between black and white though. Many of us grew up in absolute poverty, but there was little or no crime, and certainly not killings on the scale of today. Drugs have played a massive part in what we now see and will continue to do so until a solution to that particular issue is found….
Probably because you inevitably accuse people of being racist….

Perhaps things were different back in the day in England (or, again, where you were born/raised) but it is a rather common misperception here regarding crime that the good old days were, in fact, all that much better.

It has been fairly well documented that people are led to believe that things are much worse than they really are in all manner of areas, including crime, immigration, religion etc.Perhaps Bruce. Maybe, like the Covid Stats, we are just being frightened with a never ending stream of ‘news’….
What an odious individual he is.
