I feel like we tend to disagree. I will say it's nice to agree with people you usually seem to disagree with. It shows that most of us do have some common ground some where. It's small in the grand scheme of things, but it is nice to see.
We have disagreed thats for sure but I have no issues with you personally. Thing is even when we have had a disagreement I feel its a decent back and forth. I respect that.

Not sure if this is the right thread but I am sickened by this. Cops are a problem everywhere. Being black exacerbates that. Look at what they did to an elderly white man

Wow that is just awful. The video is way worse than what I expected to see. I'm in Buffalo a lot. It really is crazy watching this [Poor language removed] happen at places I know. Whether it's been the video that has hijacked this thread or this.

That officer needs to be charged with assualt. That old lanky guy was not a risk to cause harm. It's all getting out of control. We got another round of stuff happening this weekend in both cities. This happening right before it makes me fear how bad it's going to get.

I don't know much about how it is in Pittsburgh, great city btw. I was pleasantly surprised when I went there for the first time in December for the Bills-Steelers game. But I know in Rochester and Buffalo, everyone is on edge. I fear people are going to act indiscriminately on both sides. Which is scary, like the only time we won't discriminate is when we act out of paranoia and attack whoever for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Damn that video is so bad.

@steveojcc is good people, but it is emotive topic so things get tense.

My thanks to you, Steve and @Yank for figuring it out and settling it amicably.

We're all good people even if I did get set off that one time lol. Most people have been good, and I deserve the comment here and there. I'd be lying if I didn't say I'd rip on someone else for acting like I did. But it's myself, I gotta be a hypocrite somewhere.

Its quite obvious what i was referring to.

It doesnt suit the herd mentality agenda in this thread though.

1 cop kills 1 black man = black protests and riots with a lot of focus on calling out white pepople and violence towards all police unrelated to the crime.

1 korean kills 1 black woman = black protests and riots and attacks on 40+ korean stores totally unrelated to the crime.

Koreans were sealing off areas around their stores and having running gun battles with black people to defend themselves.

Black people commented that "koreans shouldnt be here and there stores are too expensive + THEY killed a black girl"

THEY, no it was one person.

Substitute police officer for korean store owner.

The fake "I support minorities" its more like "I support minorities, not all minorities of course, just the minorities I can head pat and pretend to support so others think I'm a good person"

Its all in this thread...textbook.

1: Poster is asked a few questions

2: Poster responds

3: Another poster quotes an old post highlighting a violent attack on that poster

Several further messages on the same and following pages are not quoted or mentioned showing the poster stating how it was ironic he (as a white person) was stabbed because being white (and not black) he should have been stabbed first.

Which clearly proves the disputed point poster had made.

4: Other posters choose not to actually look further past the quote and instead "like" the snide nonsense comments and laugh about the poster being stabbed.

Rather than use their own brain to understand how it showed that black people are treated better than white people in asia in most cases.

In quite clear terms.

Doesnt fit the herd mentality though

Why do you both say she is "Despicable, deplorable and dumb"

Which of her views do you most strongly agree with?

The protestors / rioters have already made a conscious choice to ignore COVID risk and the threat of spreading to their families, the police, the police's families and the general public.

Im surprised mass gatherings seem to be legal in US and UK and why people arent following basic safety measures.

If one protestor has it and spreads it across the other protestors and so on then i would be surprised if there was any blame attached...only sympathy.

Ive read a few of your posts here. Youre falling into the same trap I did which is to assume the posters your conversing with use a rational and logical thought process.

Youre asked a question and respond. However as it doesnt fit the narrative your receiving these types of comments mate.

So many terrible videos like that now.

So many black people making statements that the phrase "white privilege" is offensive to them

So many black people repeating statistics and saying it isnt the fault of "white people" and condeming those who use that as an "excuse".

So many black people asking why the rioters are killing other black people and looting local stores

So many black people saying protestors are selfish as they are likely spreading COVID.

All this is being ignored though because it doesnt suit the head patting and profile people want to portray.

@ForeverBlue92 im ok thanks mate, keeping really busy with work. Been stuck inside for 9 weeks due to the laws and risks of covid here.

Looking forward to seeing some more of your views in this thread. ;)

Well, at least you are trying lol

I have previously stated that I have no issues in reading alternative view points and also stated that yours are so badly put as you appear to just have a tantrum.

His posts have been so bad. That wasn't just a korean woman killing a black woman.

It was her killing a 15 year old black child who was stealing a bottle of juice. Then not even being charged or standing trial.

I'm finding it harder and harder to respect his opinions. What he says almost never resembles the truth. He is right to his own opinion, but what he doesn't have a right to do is construct his own version of things.

The guy is trying to tell me about things that happened just a couple miles away from me. He says stuff about NYC I talk to people there and he's like I was talking about manhattan not NYC. Which manhattan is NYC.

Where is this guy from and what's his deal. Can someone please explain it?

1: I never said anything about the black child/woman/female explicitly or the circumstances of their death by shooting.

2: My entire point was that a korean shot a black person then 40+ korean stores were attacked by armed black people.

I cant see where you have disputed this fact in your post.

Are you disputing this?

As for NYC and NJ there has been rioting and looting in BOTH places.

Yes that includes manhattan. You wrote in an older post that it was only in manhattan and not other boroughs of NYC. I misunderstood and then you clarified and i said i only know of manhattan seeing rioting and looting.

I make / receive calls to both places every single day by the way.

What are you disputing here? Its a fact.

1: Have NYC + NJ suffered lootings and riots YES

2: Were 40 korean stores attacked by black people after 1 korean killed a black person YES

Wonder why you felt the need to openly post about me personally than asking me to clarify...

We both know why :)

I'm sleeping 4 hrs a night and looking after my toddler during the day. Haha!

I am working on remote projects primarily with two European based companies so its overnight stuff. I was supposed to fly to Austria three weeks ago and spend a month there. Instead remote sessions instead.

The other half is working long days with the company she works for. They are in medical equipment field and biotechnology. So they have been expanding rapidly this last year even more so now.

Way too much coffee during the day plus mad posts and these crazy events defo gets me more riled up than usual haha!

His secret weapon is the format of his posts, he beats you into submission by asking 20 questions in one go while simultaneously ignoring anything you actually said. His 'unreadability' is his greatest asset but it does make for very poor conversation.

Yea I know why because you are intentionally twisting facts and have been for the last couple nights.

I'm glad you numbered them. It's your own undoing, not that you needed it. No one understands your posts. And that's not because they're intelligent. And that lil comment you threw in at the end, I'll get to it.

1. YOU never explicitly mentioned anything about the korean woman shooting the black girl, or woman as you put it, because it didn't fit your narrative. Latasha Harlins was shot dead at 15 by a Korean store owner right after the Rodney King stuff went down.

I was wrong, she was tried. She was sentenced to community service and a $500 fine plus funeral costs. Probably fair in your eyes.

YOU don't mention this stuff, YOU just drive by mention it to make it fit whatever the hell you're trying to say. I don't think anyone knows what the hell you're trying to say, and since we have to directly ask the almighty Zatara when he decides to speak in tongues, "What do you mean by pointing this out?"

So what do YOU mean by bringing up a 15 year old girl getting murdered for a 2 dollar bottle of orange juice?

Why did YOU avoid the details? Why did YOU say it was a black woman when she is considered a child by American standards?

And why are YOU trying to bring up something that happened nearly 30 years ago now and omitting those important facts?

LA was burning at that point. All of LA.

YOU act like I have some agenda, yet YOU, YOU, YOU brought this up. YOU misconstrued facts. YOU acted like they don't hold any relevance when I pointed this out.

I did not bring Latasha Harlins into this. I've known about Latasha for years. It happened in 91, and I was born in 89.

I've dealt with this stuff. I've seen my city burn. I've boarded up my workplace to protect it. I LIVE 2 MILES FROM THAT VIDEO. YOU have the audacity to come on here and lecture, and talk about my city. NYC where YOU went from friends telling YOY, to I'm watching live streams.

I'm done with YOU. YOU, YOU, i put YOU in caps because YOU seem to really need emphasis. YOU don't know what YOU're talking about. YOU say these little cute things about NY. Don't say anything about NY because YOU've been wrong everytime.

And for YOUR little comment at the end. Why have I felt the need to comment about YOU, YOU, and only YOU saying things. Because YOU are wrong about almost everything. I could have been on Marshall Street with that lady and YOU'd still say no she didn't say the n word when it's all known. I'd have more words for YOU because YOU are doing nothing good in this thread.

Why do YOU think I said what I said about YOUR posts regarding MY CITY. Maybe because I LIVE HERE.

Man I hate doing the caps thing but this guy needs it.

Thanks for confirming exactly what I wrote was correct ;)

Interesting and passionate take on things here which will no doubt be unpopular, but I did say that the majority of people I have spoken with want the military on the streets to assist the police...

Yes these people do exist and they do have different opinions to others;

* edit: no idea who the poster is...i just watch + link the videos.

That's complete nonsense. Please state your point. I'd like to understand it.

I answered your points. You have yet to answer any of my rebuttals. You just throw out vague things which aren't fair to me.

There are two big problems with that: the first is that after about Monday or Tuesday there has been very little violence outside of when the police and/or national guard try to break up protests. The idea that our cities are on fire or whatever he says is just a fantasy at this point.

The second is that this majority of people who want the national guard in the cities are probably people who don't actually live in the cities. I can't speak for everywhere, but where I'm from you'd have people in the surrounding counties flipping out and demanding action, but the actual people in the cities pretty content with where things are.

That's of course without getting into the madness that vigilante justice is what we're one step away from.
