Look I was having my 2 cents and you came out of nowhere like a ferocious cat on my face from the dark. So naturally there was some confusion.

I'm sorry, you were also correct about her living above the store. I could be wrong, but to my knowledge, the attackers have unfortunately not been identified.

This has been a big thing in my city, as I'm sure you'd imagine since it has gone viral. It went from everyone being disgusted, which they still are to an extent. Making her out to be a hero, GoFundMe's started for her.

To the truth being reported. Even two local radio hosts got in my belief correctly fired for making comments essentially supporting her use of the word.

Her defenders aren't even denying the use of the word. The thing about the n word is it is a white construct to insult people and subjugate them for their approval. That is why the word has no tolerance among the educated, and while getting beaten isn't ever the correct response. We all sort of know what you are trying to do when you use that word.

It's trying to get black people to act in a way that receives white approval, it strikes at the core of slavery, servitude, and inferiority the racists peddle.

I’m quite capable of reading and responding to discussion posts Zat on a thread I’m actively following if I want to without being tagged explicitly, as numerous examples including yours on the dating thread unfortunately prove.

Being tagged usually means you are directly addressing your comments to that person, hence my confusion.

My bad. I do get notifications of mentions. I just don't check them because I figure it's the same crap. Didn't seem like you were sticking up for me, but if that's your way of sticking up for me I appreciate it lol.

You do tend to see a lot of people who get beaten up make a nasty comment to the attackers when they are walking away.

I imagine due to her helplessness and 'shame/fear' (or whatever the appropriate word is) of being beaten she lashed out with the most hurtful thing she could say.

The people who attacked the victim (in my experience) usually come back and beat them up more no matter what they say.

If it had not been 3 black guys but say Japanese,Chinese, Mexican or anyone else non white and she had used an equally offensive word to them would there be the same reaction?

I don't think the history exists, despite the wrongs that have been committed to use an equally offensive word in America. The N word has a very unique place and unfortunate place in our history and society.

I don't think what you are saying is true about victims. I've been robbed at gun point by guys who were black, using that word never crossed my mind. My mind was at get out of this situation unharmed. And I've never associated the race with what they did. It was two dumb ass guys, not black people. Using the n word in situations is like dropping a nuclear bomb on an ant hill.

To me, given the state of the city that night. It was a power move. It was like I did this, I took my city back, take this. You can act bad, but this is mine. I don't think anyone who isn't racist, goes and drops the n bomb when you have been unscathed. It was her way of puffing her chest out in my mind. Like the police won't do bleep but this is my city you just live in it.

I don't think what you're saying is accurate at all.

I'm really not sure at all what your posts and messages are trying to achieve.
