Is right.

I see the way Obama speaks about him now and I recall him sitting with the mother of a greviously wounded soldier alone, without aides, for 15 minutes as she absolutely unloaded on him then saying he deserved it and I can't help but think he was a man greviously underqualified for his job, advised by maniacs and dealt a a hand most presidents would have struggled with.

I have a lot of time for him these days and, again, I never thought I'd say that.
The thing with W is this - you saw the "compassionate conservative" that was in there when he was elected, and IIRC as the GOP goes he was viewed more as a Texan that brought people together more than divided. He handled the immedate aftermath of 9/11 generally very well by most people. Then the Iraq debacle and the increasing power of Cheney, Rove, etc, kicked into full force.

He did go to a dark place. Led us into a war we shouldn't have been in. Made mistake after mistake.

But what would we rather have - condemn the guy for life? If he can be part of the solution now, speak to the GOP as someone that's more enlightened, that should be applauded. Everyone should get a fair chance to atone for their sins.

Certainly some stuff is unforgivable, but any redemption is better than nothing

love this song. Apologize for the language in advance, hard R, F bombs. Lovely piece that came out a few years ago. But the message is the same

Laughing at this enraged story about Emily Watson on twitter tonight concerning all this. I couldn't begin to do it justice with a simple explanation!

Barack Obama is a much smarter man than I and if he states that GWB was a compassionate man doing his best (however good that may have been) and you see the obvious warmth between them, then I'm sold.

I disagree with the man's policies but that doesn't make him evil

Holy tits. This thread is going all over to place from the actual murder, to the protest, to burning businesses, to Trump, then somehow to Nixon, to confederate statues, to Jim Crow, to random hints of football, to some Price! I feel like I just went through 6th grade history lesson in 98 pages on a GoT thread lol.
Good morning Grinch how are you doing today.

Get past the fact it's James Corden, and please do listen to the message

Nobody needs to hear what James corden has to say though.

He should give that platform to an activist, or a person who suffers on a daily basis because of the colour of their skin. They’re the people we need to hear from right now.

That’s the problem. People are angry because they’re not being listened to and that’s still continuing.
