An excellent deep-dive by ProPublica into private-school vouchers and the weakening of public education, seemingly in the name of institutional racism.

bad, bad stuff. do you know any good reads on the US education system? we're in a bad state right now with things like this. our local system uses magnet schools which are on the one hand terrific (2 of my kids attend) but on the other hand drains resources from the rest of the district. I wish I knew a solution that worked outside of an effective local government.

I don't offhand, and if you come across one let me know.

It's entirely inappropriate to provide conjecture on this, but I'll still get out there and say this was someone with a family member denied coverage for a serious disease

In no way am I supporting or justifying this killing, but the internets haven't been kind or sympathetic to the victim or the company he led. (I'm fortunate to have decent healthcare coverage paid in large part by my employer...others are not so lucky).

They clapped Nancy Pelosi's husband being hit repeatedly in the head by a hammer wielding scum bag.

They overlooked the dead of the Jan 6th attack on america.

Thatcher called them 'the mob'. For the first time ever, I agree with her.

How many people suffered and died to line his pockets? It's a very heartless thing to say but I feel 0 remorse at all for him.

Rumours it was a disgruntled 'customer' Just look for the guy who’s wife, son or daughter’s treatment was denied or insurance said it was not covered. That should narrow it down to 12 million people or so.

When I first saw the story, my immediate reaction was to be surprised something like this hadn’t happened sooner.
