I think it looks fake because there's physical distance as he's not their family, so touching them would be even weirder than just using them as a prop.

New York magazine writer Olivia Nuzzi is publicly accusing her ex-fiancé Ryan Lizza, a prominent political journalist with Politico, of orchestrating a harassment and blackmail campaign against her after their split and while Nuzzi had a personal relationship with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
The accusations — which Nuzzi made in a filing and before a judge in Washington, DC’s Superior Court this week and which he denies — are the latest explosive twist to emerge from the fallout of her previously undisclosed relationshipwith Kennedy, the former independent presidential candidate, and as the national political press has turned the saga into a discussion of journalism ethics.
Nuzzi wrote in a court filing that in mid-August, Lizza “explicitly threatened to make public personal information about me to destroy my life, career, and reputation—a threat he has since carried out.”
Hang on, isn't this "personal information" a question of an undisclosed professional conflict of interest that directly impacts her ability to actually perform her career?

Ah yes, Tina Peters, the entitled Karen face of the state-level MAGA movement. I first heard about her when that 'Cyber Symposium' was held in the summer of 2021, Mike Lindell was going to blow the cover off the election fraud live on stage and had all these various 'experts' chime in (I watched a bit of it, one guy's presentation was just his own maths of how many Trump votes had been stolen and then he applied that exact formula to every state slide-by-slide to show the 'true' results). Peters was one of those enjoying her time on the stage being lauded by the faithful.
Funnily enough when Lindell was about to have his star witness on the reveal the proof he claimed it was no longer safe to do so (or they were hacked or something?) and it had become clear from what they were presenting that the data obtained must have been done so unlawfully, at that point rumours swirled that Peters was now on the run and Lindell was hiding her in safe houses out of state. Somehow none of that stopped her running for an even higher office in 2022!
I had no idea she wasn't even qualified for her previous role, maybe you guys need some impartial professionals for these sorts of jobs rather than just electing partisan candidates to run things... Luckily her crime spree and hopefully political ambitions have now come to an end, and I present hear a video of her arrest over some sort of Karen brunch, if people haven't seen it.
Anyway the scary thing is just how many other potential Tina Peters there are out there working the state level elections, utterly convinced that Trump either will be or must be the winner in November and willing to break the law to make it happen, convinced of the righteousness of the cause.
