I went through the immigration/legal alien/resident/citizen process. I wondered how much my lawyer did that I couldnt have done myself (prob a lot!). It did always blow my mind how anyone with little or no english navigated the system. Sure, the forms were available in multiple languages but I'd imagine the process takes a PHD to figure out.
The process has comedic-levels of dystopian bureaucracy.

You asked a question... "has it taken over an hour for him to die?" I answered that question. And no, I don't think 22 minutes is acceptable. I think that 22 minutes is horrific... even for what he has done. If capital punishment is to be the appropriate sentence, then it should be as swift and painless as possible. Capital punishment is punishment enough... no need for unnecessary pain and suffering.

It’s very complicated. My wife and I went through this with her citizenship process. In our case, things were very delayed and it turned out that USCIS “misplaced” our paperwork. One call to our Congressman and things were sorted out quickly. Congressional office staffs are a great resource if anyone is having problems with the bureaucracy.
This is 100% accurate - anything you need done, your Congressperson's office can handle it. My wife's passport renewal was delayed once and we were in danger of not being able to travel abroad. One call to my local congressperson and I had her passport within 24 hours.
It's like a cheat code
Yeah, the call-your-congressman thing is something that people overlook. My partner needed a new passport ASAP for a trip and the congressional staff person got them an appointment for a passport the day she called. It would have never occurred to me to call my representative for something like this, but I'm glad she thought of it.
