Ok. So all those women who have now lost the basic right of being in control of their own body have to wait for another election, and another group of politicians to do what should have been done?

Not for me. It's more urgent than that. Time for those who have committed the above crimes to swing from some lampposts. We havent got time to wait for elections.

I hope people take the right course of action.

Stringing people up didn't exactly work out for the racist southerners in the 1950s and 1960s. Going down that road puts you on a morally equivalent level with them, and it's unlikely to produce results. The last uptick in those favoring legal abortion under all circumstances, prior to the present one, occurred back in the 1990s when abortion clinic violence escalated to murder. I could support the argument that the riots of 1968 had as much to do with Nixon winning as Vietnam did.

The side that resorts to violence generally loses in the end, in American politics.

Yes going to the polls hasnt worked. Theyve been doing that for decades.

Women will die as a consequence of this. Any uncle tom telling people to wait for elections is a traitor, and should be dealt with accordingly.

Most left-leaning people I know understood that bans in public places and heavy taxation would lead to a declining number of cigarette smokers - and it's proven to be the case. When these policies began to be implemented in most of the country, 21% of us were regular smokers. Just under 20 years later that number is 12% and consistently declining.

Yes. There is generally a health benefit to the public and healthcare costs with less regular smoking.

But 12% “smokers” is one thing. That Nunber would be closer to half if the question was “who smokes the occasional cigarette”.

It’s back to the point no one wants a smoking ban outright

Not going to go this direction, no matter how emotionally satisfying it may seem in the short-term.

However, I have absolutely no issue with running ads on TV, radio, billboards, newspapers, online showing the faces of SCOTUS judges, GOP elected officials and religious leaders publicly naming them as murderers as that is what they are. Mrs BlueTX and I are ready to financially support such efforts when they are properly coordinated.

People wont care about this, they wont care of the mother will die so the foetus can live. They wont care about the husbands, wives, partners, family or any of the womens other children that will be affected by these decisions to effectively kill the mother at the expense of saving the foetus, as they forget about it 5 minutes later and go about their own lives unaffected.

What an absolute scummy way to live.

So presumably if you have a miscarriage at home, as many women sadly do, regardless of your physical/mental situation you’ll have to collect together all the remains, store them and then arrange for a burial or cremation.

It will be a fascinating legal test, for sure.

As will, what I assume is coming, the legal battle over free religious expression for Jews, Muslims, Unitarians and other religious groups that allow for abortion rights.

Of course it wasnt ok. But nothing was done about it. Those judges deserve that treatment.
