Politicians eh?

I’d like to see the money she’s pining for diverted to free birth control in the areas that are going to be impacted be the decision. Or start funds to support travel and procedures for those who need to cross state lines. Won’t fix the problem but it’s at least something real that can be done to help those areas. People up and moving won’t happen so what are real things that can be put in place to support here?
States are literally proposing laws that would ban such things. No importation of birth control or the "morning after pill" and abortion travel out of state to be punished upon return to the state.

White Christian nationalism. Freedom for me, not for thee.

What a commendable decision to ban abortions and protect the helpless fetus, seeing every republican knows the proper trimester for terminations is school age and carried out automatic gunfire when they are scared out of their minds. Usually by a right wing nut job...

Well done America, just when you think you'd have trouble sinking further into the abyss you always find a way.

I’m sorry, what? Which states?

College kids are in massive, massive trouble if that’s the case.

‘merica. Politically, the most pathetic, backward thinking brain dead nation in the Western world. An absolute laughing stock.

Controversial take but the US is what type of society you end up with when total free speech is granted to unequivically to everybody. There has to be some level of hierarchal control somewhere within a community to keep things even-keel, otherwise the stupidest in the pack will always eventually bring everything down from within.

Grim. That said I'm interested how Ireland managed to swerve the same level of criticism the US is currently getting given abortion was illegal there up until 2018 ? I don't really remember anyone being 'Ireland is so backwards' etc. I guess a lot of it was down to ignorance, i didn't even know abortion was illegal there until the referendum popped up in the news. America is bigger news I guess and has more certifiable 'dumb stuff' happening.

Ireland is ace btw, not hating, was just shocked to find out abortion was illegal up until 2018
