1. Whole lot of copy paste right there but anyways...his dad lived in that community and he wanted to protect it. Lots of evidence of that but im sure you are not aware of those.
2. Wouldnt you "kick someones arse if they were smacking your sister or bother up"? I dont watch fox, msnbc nor cnn. There you go.
1. It seems to me that you, like other right wing media only want to be aware about the evidence that support your claims and not the ones that bear the truth, that this guy had no right to be vigilante in a community that he didn’t reside. Even if his daddy did. My dad lives in another city different than my own that doesn’t give me the right to fight battles there.
2. If another woman was kicking his sister’s ass he should have called the police, or his mother and let them take care of it. A man hitting a woman is never right nor brave!

He’s clearly a shithouse then because by the look of things he was only arsed about himself.

1. He did. He showed up to a different state, than the one he resided, with an assault weapon and incited violence that killed 2 people and injured another one. Even if some people like to claim that it was self defense the reality is that these men could still be alive had Rittenhouse not tried to be vigilante in a turmoil that wasn’t his own and tried to take law matters into his own hands.
2. Even if they weren’t model citizens that’s no justification for their killing. Rittenhouse himself is not a model citizen even at this young age, he was already a member of th Proud Boys a far right, neofascist group and Rittenhouse attacked a woman in June 2020 as she was fighting his sister. He also was recoded on video before the shootings in which he said he would like to shoot some men he thought were shoplifting from a pharmacy. So portraying him as a young man fighting for his life was another falsehood by the right wing media and people like
In any normal country, just turning up to a protest armed with an assault rifle, looking to play the vigilante would get you locked up for a fair amount of time. Never mind killing two people.

The USA is a bizarre place. It's still a 3rd world country in so many ways.
This

Rittenhouse ultimately had to “act in self defense” precisely because he was perceived as a threat, carrying around a rifle, during unarmed protests

I am curious how often this guy gets overturned on appeal. I would think that he's pretty extreme for that state. I didn't find data, though I did find that he had an order in a plea bargain vacated recently. He ordered that a serial shoplifter inform the manager of any store she entered that she was under court supervision, and was presumably overturned on 8th Amendment grounds.

Hopefully DOJ finds something they can charge.
Here's also hoping the families sue the crap out of him in civil court.

Going to be tough to get him on meaningful federal charges.

Wrongful death and personal injury suits may have more of a prayer. I don't know enough about Wisconsin law on that front to make an informed call on whether those stand a chance.

I don’t understand why anybody can defend him being there with a gun to shoot anyway? I guess that’s US law… just so backwards.

We banned the retail sale of those things for ten years, though we did not "come for their guns" in the cases of existing owners. Toting them around was a no-no until recently as well.

Generally, gun laws are handled at the state level and most voters couldn't pick their state legislator(s) out of a lineup. Large corporations and the NRA have figured out in the last decade that this gives them wide latitude to enact sweeping changes without anyone much noticing until something happens that makes people upset.

Republicans like Cawthorn and Gaetz who are openly celebrating an armed man going free after murdering people is not only disturbing but it is a dangerous and violent trend that’s being promoted by the GOP. They keep forgetting that their words have weight and that democracies are fragile.
