This dirtbag needs to be defeated in 2022. Not only does is he praying for gridlock in the Senate but his conspiracy theories about the vaccine are killing people in Wisconsin.

Jen Psaki really is a national treasure.

She handled it very well. Clearly great at her job. I do think she could’ve just said, of course there’s some risk if we lose officers and military personnel, but we’re focused on the primary problem which is costing lives…covid. At that point you can debate philosophical ideals til the cows come home but it at least shows the administration considered the implication and came to a decision, acknowledging the variable that reporter guy is clinging to.

Pretty sure he’s planning on declaring as independent, right? That’s what his voting record suggest he is so should just acknowledge it.
Not just an independent but an “American Independent” whatever that is. But like you, I wish he just came out and say it instead of threatening to do so if his demands are not met.

“Maybe Manchin needs to learn from independent Bernie Sanders who
For Christmas (and Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa), wants to give working-class West Virginians a child tax credit, child care assistance, free preschool, two free years of community college, lower health insurance premiums, expanded Medicare, home health care assistance for the elderly, an expanded Earned Income Tax Credit for low-wage workers, good-paying clean energy jobs, worker training, and more.

West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin wants to give them a lump of coal”

Independent from the Democratic Party but not from his political donors. According to his most recent SEC filing only 2% of donations were directly from West Virginians, 98% were out of state donations that probably came from the coal and oil industry. So Manchin likes to pretend to be independent but that’s a lie when he is getting wealthy from the industry that he is protecting. US politicians, except for a few, are too influence by lobbyists thus they can’t really be considered independent. They already have an egenda in mind that protects they interest of their donors at the expense of everyone else.

Btw, sorry for the rant but I’m just so fed up with Manchin and Sinema.

It should be illegal for any legislator, regardless of what country, to have a vested interest in a private company through ownership or stocks and shares It should also be illegal to accept fund/donations from companies.

People are voting for them but greed is making the decisions. Such a murky corrupt world
