Abhorrent is too kind a word for this law
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Wednesday signed into law a measure that will require victims of rape and incest to have first reported the crime to law enforcement before they could undergo an abortion past the state’s 20-week limit.

The measure also adds the reporting requirement to other abortion cutoffs blocked by the courts. It requires abortion providers to document that a crime has been reported to law enforcement if the abortion is being performed on a rape or incest victim past the 20-week cutoff.
Truly outrageous. Republican governors and state legislatures are trying to push again all sort of restrictions on abortion and reproductive rights knowing well they have a conservative majority in their Supreme Court that may uphold their backwards approach. Just like voting rights, Republicans are attacking women rights with full force :(

These initiatives by Republicans governors to silent freedom of speech with the excuse of protecting the general public from rioters is such farse as many of the states passing this legislation are the ones also allowing gun owners the freedom to carry weapons openly but they are no passing legislation to protect the public from that.

These laws are enabling violence against protesters by granting immunity to drivers that hit them are so wrong. They are pretty much intimidating protesters about expressing their rights to free speech by passing these laws. What’s worse is that these initiatives expand the definition of riots to include actions that are currently considered peaceful protesting strategies such as stopping the traffic, which in Florida can now become a felony with a penalty of up to 15 years in prison. It really is discouraging what’s currently happening in the US at the state level with so much legislation that’s taking our society backwards not forward.

Absolutely disgraceful that they’d rather make it legal to kill people protesting cops murdering minorities as opposed to simply trying to stop the cops from killing people.

Do people actually call people out for not wearing a mask outdoors in the USA? I don't think I've ever seen that happen in the UK. Hardly anyone wears a mask outdoors here except for maybe shopping centres.

no, and even Tucker said they didn't (he mainly said they snort at / judged those without masks)

It is truly outrageous. Some Republicans priorities are really twisted and their desire to silence protest is bigger than protecting these people’s lives but according to their values they are all about being pro-life, that’s of course if it is about a woman’s right to choose.

Saw this today on BBC web-site. Utterly appalling.

And some people in the US still don’t believe that our police departments need some reforming :( It is time for the legislators to transform the values, culture, policies and practices of police organizations around this country. Enough is enough.
