OK Dems, Biden really wants that covid bill, its not the best bill but it will help people out tremendously in the short run so yea go ahead and get that done.

$15 minimum wage, yea it was never gonna be that easy w/ o w/o a filibuster. After all congress is so horrible that Ted Cruz isn't even the worst senator. That being said, you've only had control for about 45 days and made a effort, good job Dems! Plus there was never a vote on raising the minimum wage in years so now at least you know where everyone currently stands.

Now the big difference between the republicians and democrats is that the Republicians take what they can get when they can, are never satisfied and immediately come back for more. The Dems, "we asked and they said no, oh well, moving on!" The Dems are really good at making their own voters/supporters of an issue believe "hey maybe all that talk was just lip service". End this, its gonna take a lot of work, hitting the airwaves, arm twisting and campaigning to even get something like $12/hr or $12 w/ a yearly cost of living adjustment. And you know what, it still might amount to little to nothing because you are trying to negotitate w/ Vanilla ISIS. But your voters and supporters of the issue (64% from the last poll if you believe it) will know you kept your promise and that matters.

IMO if we could get $12 in a compromise take it but continue that fight for what you campaigned on.

At some point Democrats are going have to give a serious consideration to abolishing the filibuster otherwise Biden will have no chance with his progressive agenda. If Manchin and Sinema are not on board then they should be kicked out of the party.
