Yep, it's just a fact that this would have been different for a black protest.

And I say that as someone who usually rolls my eyes at "the race card" etc.

But that said, this is a state-aided coup d'etat, so very different context. Clearly Trump endorses and encouraged this.

It’s shameful. An assault on our actual capitol should have been shut down before it even started. The lack of a federal response is deplorable. McCain must be turning in his grave.

We have major problems but I’m generally proud to be American. As much as we have to figure out, people come here for opportunity and because it really is worse in a lot of other places. Today, I’m embarrassed. Sad times.
