If they weren't irony-patriots, the protesters would've been cleared way before they'd amassed such numbers.

At the moment, law enforcement is outnumbered until they bring in reinforcements.

Indeed.

... well, assuming reinforcements would be called. Particularly the army. Trump is still commander-in-chief eh, and these riots are practically endorsed by him.

They should have been. How did they let it get this way.

I'm normally one who scoffs at the constant "it's because of racism" shouts, but on this one, let's be clear and obvious about it - 'ready' or not, if this was a black protest, the police would have found plenty of rubber bullets and tear gas before it got to this stage.

So how long is this whole objecting to the votes of a state and then debating it going to take?? Days? Weeks?
I was under the impression that under the constitutional rules Congress is suppose to certify the votes by the end of the day. This is unprecedented so I'm not sure what would happen if Congress is not able to do so today.

Is there a reason the Proud Boys and whatever else the racists call themselves aren't getting teargassed and battered into oblivion?
I thought they were yesterday and they couldn’t believe the police were actually trying to uphold law and order against them. If they’re not now, bust it out and hit em again. I’d say it’s time for the national guard but is it only Trump that could actually make that call?
