It wasn't meant to be anything ill towards you. Just how it went from EXTREME right to PRETTY FN FAR right and "that's compromise". 500m to Isreal? 2.2b for tomohawk missiles? anohter couple billion to the F35 BS that has never gone anywhere?
The problem is that the Democrats are at a massive disadvantage in these negotiations. McConnell is more than willing to “shoot the hostage” (in this case, that would be to give NO covid aid to the country) whereas Democrats aren’t.

Again, no defending that. More than anything, I’m just glad they got it through without providing lawsuit immunity for ****heel business owners whose employees get sick or die because they prefer to put profits ahead of safety.

Anyways, may not matter. Apparently Trump is now considering vetoing it.

Honestly, and I feel bad for so many, but I would love that. He's such a POS.

So what do we think Trump’s playing at there. He’s supposedly saying he wants $2000 stimulus checks.

now we know he’s not interested in people getting money... just fancies another rounds of bits of paper with his name on?

Really not sure what his angle here is. He honestly might be just deluded enough to think if he throws a $2000 bone to enough people that they might take to the streets to try and keep him power.

This isn;t a hit on anyone spitefully but I recall seeing someone saying "this is how politics is meant to be: comprimise".

There is now legal wording inside of this that makes it a felnoy to stream anything, including a Premier League match

There is now legal wording inside of this that says that ONLY China can claim the next "Dalai Lama".

How is ANY of this meant to be associated with a COVID relief bill?

re: the Dalai Lama bit, who put that in there?

Unfortunately, that’s the way Washington works with lobbyists and special interest groups
And it’s just accepted as a truth...That’s part of the problem. I’ve seen some people saying, hey at least it’s $600 and the government is finally doing its job

When considering that the Federal Government is essentially borrowing 3000 dollars/citizen from a foreign country, gave themselves and other countries 2400 and kicked back only 600 to its citizens, yet we get to pay back the whole 3k plus interest in future taxes, it is NOT a good deal at all.

Maybe instead of going this route we actually look at cutting spending elsewhere and redirecting those funds? I’m annoyed.
