I will say, his knowledge of socialism is right in par with the average American.
The average American does a great job confusing communism, socialism fascism and outright tyranny.
Many Americans probably couldn't separate the differences or define any of them.
Accurate history doesn't seem important to schools in parts of this country. If they teach history at all other than the stuff pertaining to this country.
All they know is America has had beefs with countries that were one of the above so they must be all the same.
