yup. He and his brother get right under my skin.
And now he's being touted for AG under Biden.
I'm no fan of Deblasio but I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to be the mayor of NYC and get constantly undercut by this fella in Albany.

The amount of positive press he has received is just bizarre. My poor parents in NY believed he was some sort of savior for months
yea, my in-laws live about a mile from the NY border in CT. They were always talking about Cuomo in reverential terms, wishing he was governor of CT.
It just goes to show with the right messaging and press coverage you can make the worst disaster work for you.
Thank god Trump was too inept to make his disastrous handling of this work to his advantage.
I think his press conferences were a stark contrast to the “inject bleach” ones so got a lot of favorable treatment along with a “rally around when things are tough“ effect but looking at how he handled things like the nursing home cases is just mind boggling that anyone can sconsider his management overall a success.
