The hospitals and clinics only want the positives for the money anyway. Swaying numbers from 98% positive to 9%.. Quite a difference
Wasnt the GOP Governor caught lying about the numbers the day before.

is he any good?
Don’t know anything about his politics, but he’s endorsed by Trump, so that pretty much tells me all I need to know.

Like Grinch said though, he’s a well known former football coach who is running as a Republican in the reddest of red states against a Democrat who only got elected because the fine people of Alabama viewed him as ever so slightly better than a pedophile. This one won’t be competitive.

Just to remind us of the state of things in Alabama, In the special election to fill that senate seat, Jones (the Dem) got 49.97% of the vote and Moore (the Republican/known pedo) got 48.34%.

And football's even more popular down there than pedophilia.

As I said when this first came out: anyone who believed he was a threat to Biden is a moron. Spend this afternoon trying to figure out why you thought that black people would fall for this in November when actually you were the one who fell for it immediately.

The only people who took this even a little bit seriously were white journalists who needed their “horse race” angle. Kanye is mentally ill, he needs help but everyone is too busy cashing in off of him.

Turnout in the Alabama GOP runoff was dismally low. By contrast, the turnout in the Dem runoff in Texas crushed all records.

It'll be interesting to see how Tuberville reacts to the negative ads that will be run against him. Note: while he was head football coach at Texas Tech, his wife caused an accident that sent an elderly couple to the hospital. She was not tested for alcohol use by police at the scene. The 87-year old male victim never left the hospital and died 4 weeks later. Suzanne Tuberville got a ticket for running a red light.

Also, when Tuberville was head coach at Auburn one of his players was charged with raping a 15-year old girl. The player pleaded down to delinquincy with a minor in order to avoid trial/jail. Tuberville's idea of proper punishment for the player? A one-game suspension.

So many recent Republican candidates have led such interesting lives. Yeesh. I'm doubtful that Jones has any real chance against a halfway legit Republican but the times have taught me to be even more skeptical of my own assumptions.

An example of my assumptions being off: I read in a news article today that Beto O'Rourke won more votes than Ted Cruz in 2018 among native Texans, but that Cruz won the day by doing better among transplants to the state. Good to know.

I'd appreciate a link to the story. That conclusion regarding Beto and Ted voters flies against all other studies I've seen.

I work for a manufacturing business. We are pretty large, like $350-400m

They were furloughing the ever loving crap out of everyone then...brought everyone back. Our YoY sales are slightly above last years numbers. Our YoY orders tho? We're over 50% more orders this year than last. For reference, we budgeted about an optimistic 15% increase. We are having the singular most insane year anyone in the entire industry can recall. These are people who were doing HUGE numbers in pre-2008 say this is craziest year theyve ever had.

I see Sessions got beat in the Alabama republican primary last night.
Sucks for him, gave up his seat to work in the Trump admin, go against trump, get fired, have Trump endorse your opponent.
Don't get me wrong, Sessions is a racist old goat, wonder if he'll come out against Trump now, doubt it.
Any one know if Doug Jones has any hope of keeping his seat?
Et tu Brutus?

CNN)Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt, who has aggressively pushed to reopen his state and flouted experts' health recommendations, announced Wednesday that he is the first governor to test positive for coronavirus.

Stitt, a Republican, said at a press conference that he was tested on Tuesday and that he feels "fine," other than being a "little bit achy." He said he'll be quarantining and working from home, and that he was "pretty shocked" to be the first governor to get the virus. He added that he would isolating away from his family, whom he said tested negative.
"I want to use my story to remind Oklahomans that if you aren't feeling well, we want you to get tested," said Stitt, who added that he is not considering a statewide mask mandate as of now.

Stitt's diagnosis is particularly notable, as he has not only pushed to aggressively reopen his state despite a surge in cases but has at times disregarded advice from medical experts. In March, he faced backlash for posting a photo of himself and his children at a crowded restaurant, which he later deleted.

I haven’t seen it mentioned in anything I’ve read, but was he at the Trump rally in Tulsa a couple weeks ago?
