Marianne Williamson had supporters.

Which is to say, there's a lot of dumb people out there of all races.

The margins to impact the election as a 3rd party are SO narrow. Can't speak for anyone else, but my concern (or at least potential concern) wasn't specific to Kanye or black people, it would have been the same had anyone with such a huge profile/following gotten into the race without a snowball's chance of winning.
Wlliamson was insane but she ran a real campaign with a real platform that didn't just say "I'm going to pray on it" for huge things like foreign policy and crucially she got in the race at a point where people were still forming opinions on what they were looking for. I just don't think comparing Kanye to any real candidate is really encompassing what is happening. I mean that Lord Buckethead guy from the UK was way more viable than Kanye.

So while yes people are dumb, I do think the number of people who are THAT dumb is pretty damn low. I mean look at the article Grinch sent trying to defend himself. Chance the Rapper says he's supporting Kanye and spends the rest of the day defending himself from people saying he's nuts. I know thin margins and all that but Kanye wasn't swinging this race when he announced his "run" even if he somehow got on ballots in November.

I see Sessions got beat in the Alabama republican primary last night.
Sucks for him, gave up his seat to work in the Trump admin, go against trump, get fired, have Trump endorse your opponent.
Don't get me wrong, Sessions is a racist old goat, wonder if he'll come out against Trump now, doubt it.
Any one know if Doug Jones has any hope of keeping his seat?

And you're probably right.

My thing was more "I'd rather there not be that possibility, no matter how remote"

Plus a general dislike of people ****ing about with things that are important, just for their own ego, or because they have some footwear to sell, or whatever.

Not a chance. Tommy Tubberville will decimate him. Former Auburn football coach

is he any good?
Not sure about his politics. Football he was 159-99, .616 Win%. It was a fluke for the Republicans to lose the seat in the first place because they put in tool in the nomination slot. The Alabama Senate will return to normalcy

"In a recent advertisement, Tuberville highlighted Sessions' tenure in the Trump administration, saying Sessions "wasn't man enough to stand with President Trump when things got tough.""

Doesn't sound much like it.
ha, cool.
so he's an asshat.
Hopefully he'll be taking a seat in the Senate minority where all his colleagues are figuring out how best to distance themselves from Trump.

Expect a massive turnaround on the numbers!

Doubt hospitals will comply to be honest

The hospitals and clinics only want the positives for the money anyway. Swaying numbers from 98% positive to 9%.. Quite a difference

That doesn't really change the number of positive cases though.

Doubtless it will be used to say "see, it's just cos we're testing loads!"... but that doesn't explain the growth in hospitalisations (and, sadly, deaths are starting to creep up too)
