Early special election voting going on in N.C for two US rep positions. District 9, of Republican voter fraud controversy, and District 3, whose long term rep passed away. I’ll be voting tomorrow in district 3 although thanks to gerrymandering my vote won’t do much in the safely GOP district. Have much higher hopes with district 9
@LinekersLegs I saw on the local news today that Darrell Issa wants to take Duncan hunters seat. From one crook to another. I had been talking to friends and joked with them a while back that it wouldn't be a surprise to me if he came out of retirement to run for this because it would be a sure thing.
I will say as much as i dislike Hunter at least he showed up in his constituency and talked to the people. Issa is a charlatan and his list of wrongdoings is probably much longer. The difference of being connected in Washington.
Issa never spoke to the people was always absence and took the chicken sh** route out by not rerunning knowing full well he would lose.

I get it's probably a super red district and it's interesting that a dem is doing so well but how the hell can anyone vote for a GOP candidate in a rerun because the GOP cheated?
And how bad are the democrats at controlling the national narrative.

Great news for me. This was argued based on the N.C. constitution so should avoid SCOTUS.
Texas is a big state but the number of Republicans deciding not to run in 2020 seems high. Elevated retirement rates were an early flag to poor GOP performance in House 2018 elections...
