You pretty much did. You said he did nothing wrong despite the same videos you claim to have watched show him driving his car into them. Refusing to stop and wait for the cops.

But in this case despite them using that word (which by the way hacks always use exaggeration when making headlines on both sides of the aisle) the guy in the truck acted like a fool and was the aggressor. You simply cannot use your truck to hit someone or push them out of the way. It's a kin to someone being close to your face shouting and then stabbing them. Anything that potentially cause serious harm is seen as a weapon.
Sure they over blew it but he was wrong. If you defend him becuase you think they are "nuts" then you condone his violent outburst and are no better than he.

I'd probably say it is diversion tactics but your ire at the exaggerated term is what led you to post on here for the first time in ages.
You ignored that fact that the guard used his truck as a battering ram to move a crowd.
You ignored that other private employees pepper sprayed the crowd, these were not cops.
That's before we get in to the issue of the fact that he's a private employee of a private prison that are profiting off the detention of asylum seekers, who, if they are guilty of anything, it's a misdemeanor charge of crossing at an unauthorized point of the border.
but yea, the protesters who's parents/grandparents fled persecution were the nut jobs and idiots.
You should take a step back and think about those people in that prison, ask yourself if they deserve to be there, ask yourself if people should be profiting off their detention and ask yourself if the truck driver could have handled the situation better.
Because if the use of the term 'plough' by a third party is top of your list of concerns after watching that video, you should probably have a long hard look at yourself.
I'm blinkered (not sure what that is BTW) because I was surprised to hear the left acknowledge media bias? When it's consistently denied by the left and journalists who espouse said bias? Seems odd. Sure, I assume you guys know it exists, but given it's regularly denied, why wouldn't I be surprised by the acknowledgement?
The substantive conversation of ICE and detentions isn't worth your or my time. We won't find common ground and I won't care that you think I'm some monster for my positions on those topics. As for the truck driver, sure, I personally would have waited for the cops. But from the video I don't think he had the intention to harm anyone, I don't think he actually did harm anyone (in any meaningful way), and I think the protestors are obnoxious and bad people. If the law decides he was exceedingly reckless (I think he was at least somewhat reckless), I assume he'll be charged with something and live to regret his decision making.

I haven't even given you my position, but the fact that we're starting with the premise that this is a discussion of asylum rather than asylum/illegal immigration abuse is why I don't think it's profitable to get into it.
plenty of other right wing Christians have found it profitable to get in to!
