GND didn't do too well with the recent vote.

Wonder what AOC will do next in terms of amendments etc and put it forth again or just leave it.

It didn't do well because McConnell brought it to a vote without any discussion. It was a fake vote. Waste of time. He's setting so many dangerous precedents as the Majority Leader. It will come back to bite Republicans in the ass.

It's difficult to think of a more prized get (I'd use harsher words but yanno) than him in politics.

A proper bellend.

Don't know much about American politics but thought that the ultimate example of 'rock and hard place' was a choice of Trump or Hillary. If I had had a vote in that election, I would have been looking for the Monster Raving Loony party candidate. Read an interesting article at the week-end, unfortunately, can't remember where I read it or who wrote it (it was an American political journalist). He said that the biggest mistake made by the Democrats was wasting all their energies on the impeachment issue instead of holding Trump to account on his performance as President.

When have they wasted energy on impeachment?

Or was he suggesting it would be a waste?

Thing is they have being trying to hold him accountable.

The GOP don't want to hear it. Until the Democrats won the house the GOP had full control and had no issue with Trump and his tactics. In fact they would deny or refuse to talk about anything with the Democrats.

Even now that won't change. Anything the Democrats in the house pass gets shot down by the GOP without review. Specifically by McConnell.

I suggest the guy or girl who wrote that piece you read is partisan or does not know what they are talking about.

As @ilikecheese mentioned the democrats haven't looked for impeachment yet. Nor will they. A small minority of Democrats have discussed it but they have not followed through seriously.

Can't comment on either of the last two posts as I don't know enough. I think Trump is a joke and I think Hillary is not even funny. America is in the same boat as the UK. No serious potential leaders in either of the two main parties.

There’s pretty much not one part of that that’s accurate to be honest mate.

Also inaccurate, sorry.
