For some reason Americans like to justify this kind of thing by saying that those people deserve this kind of extra hardship because they got in trouble to begin with. As if the idea of serving your sentence isn't supposed to be enough punishment.

Their hosts always remind me of that older family member, friend or acquaintance who reads a tweet or a link on Facebook and never verifies it and then repeats it at an event or gathering or in public to people thinking they just read some breaking research or news story.
It clearly is a TV channel for idiots and people who don't care about the truth.
It what happens when you take veterans who have undiagnosed PTSD or maybe those who loved shooting their gun in combat and are all about war (not saying they are all like that mind. I am speaking from experience and i know quite a lot of them). Then you give them jobs in law enforcement. Those shows they used to show on the likes of the history channel or discovery about them were cringe worthy. Always treating illegal immigrants like they killed someone or stole all of the gold in fort knox or something.
What started out as a good idea quickly turned out to be a seriously bad idea.
