John Harris laid out in meticulous detail how he had warned his father for YEARS that McCrae Dowless was breaking the law and tried to convince him not to hire him. He had the emails to prove it. It was devestating. By the end, Mark Harris was crying. One important point was that Mark Harris and his legal team tried to hide all of this from investigators
John Harris said his dad’s attorneys told him they had turned over the emails. Then he found out that never happened
So he did it himself.
Candidate doesn’t know that coordinating with a PAC is illegal....yeah right.

Lying under oath and/or with holding evidence/obstruction and he'd be disbarred and in jail.
All true but still found it slightly surprising that he didn’t just assume he could keep quiet and the whole thing would get dismissed one way or another - NC politics hasn’t got the cleanest of reputations after all. His Dad also seems to have been a pretty poor role model.
How is the whole investigation being received locally?
Our local congressman recently died (Walter Jones) so that has been the bigger local news over the last several weeks. We'll be having a special election soon hopefully along with District 9
In general though, throughout this saga just a definite lack of shock that there are voting shenanigans in rural NC.
