Certainly a strange one.

Mate I genuinely don't believe we have cash available for signings. The nonsense that players don't want to sign for us doesn't wash with me. If that's true why would Depay or Schneiderlin players so heavily linked with us want to come?

I don't think Moshiri has as much cash available to invest as people think he will. Added to that financial fair play I think that's partly why we have had to keep Barry due to lack of funds available to replace

Well time will tell there, the new window's upon us and there's no reason we can't do our business early if the money is there and our targets are available.

I'm quietly confident we will all be very disappointed

A loan and maybe one perm signing I'd say. Find it hard to see us being able to sell the deadwood as who would want them and their wages. (McGeady) prime example could only manage to shift him on loan

Before we spend ridiculously inflated transfer moneys, I'd like to see Big Ronald play a few more of our talented squad members. Some, like Gibbo, Aiden, Arouna and Oumar have been a little under utilised.
This is the best Everton squad in a generation and we need to give it a little more time to gel before taking the risk of getting in new blood who are not part of the Everton family.
I don't want mercenaries at our club, players who won't contribute to community events like Blue Chrimbo etc.
Everton's commitment to community is more important to me than pure match results.

Watching the highlights on Sky Sports 1 at the mo. Barry is visibly, woefully off the pace, worse than first view earlier and looks goosed like a younger player might in extra time, right from kick off. Finished.

Another embarrassing performance last night. How can koeman analyse the matches and watch this chubby penguin waddle around and play him again next match. This has been going on since october and has to stop.

His performances since september have been some of the worst i have seen from a player since supporting since 1983. Fair enough he was a decent player but he looks completely and utterly useless out there this season.

Bit of an over exaggeration there. I've been watching us 10 years less than you and can think of far worse performances from numerous players in the time i've supported us. Would agree that his 2nd half derby performance was horrific though.

Still, he's too old now and shouldn't be starting. He can still do a job on the ball mostly, but off the ball, he's a liability.

Starting to think he must have something in his contract that says he has to play x amount of minutes per game. All about the appearance record for Barry.
Playing a 35 year old in centre mid for two games in a week is bonkers.

Said it for ages. He's finished. How bad does he need to get before someone does something about it? The 135 minutes against Arsenal and Liverpool that he didn't play were some of the best football we've played this season. We immediately pick up offensively as soon as he's subbed off in most games. Retire this fraud now.

Spot on mate. We can't play any good football when he's on the pitch, he quite literally can't move.

The new contract is just bizarre. The upcoming summer would have been the ideal time for him to go, been a good player for us for the past few years, phase him out nicely and then let him go and probably retire. But no, he strings some passes together in the first few games and we can't get that new contract lashed at him quick enough, obsessed with holding onto players for one season too long until they start looking ridiculous on the pitch. He'll be 37 when that contract expires. Thirty seven, and a central midfielder still playing in the Premier League. The club is just a massive joke.
