Gareth Barry

In my opinion he was our worst player on Saturday, his lack of pace combined with his inability to break up the play in the 2nd half goes to show why he shouldn't be starting under any circumstances anymore. Really hope Koeman starts to play Gana again from next week and leaves Barry on the bench.

I thought he did alright first half, but second half he tired quickly and the pace of their passing and movement left him largely a passenger until he was hooked.

Hes just been on Talksport. Spoke very well about Everton, moving in the right direction. Talked about Lukaku, always looking to improve
and people forget how young he is, saying there is still more to come. Work to be done and not the finished article. Very impressed with the young playes, Davies and Holgate.

Everton Results shows that he played (his 3rd game) for Villa in the season opener at Goodison (August 1998) at 17 year of age - in a goalless draw. So this is now his 20th season in the Premier League (a short way behind Giggs) and 18 and a half years since his first senior game at Goodison!

He's also 36 today (which I know since he's exactly 20 years younger than me!!)

Happy birthday to you both!

...I distinctly remember that 0-0 draw at Goodison because he was outstanding. If I remember rightly he played CB.

apparently he got a mug with 'GB' on it for his birthday, he also got one of those t-shirts saying how great 'barrys' are in general

awful!
