Good luck to him, he's been a model pro and servant for the club. Think his time with us was pretty much at an end, was featuring less and less for us last season. Still capable of the odd good game but think it's the right time for him and us to make the change.

Sad to see him go. Had his bad games just like every other player on the planet, but was often - wrongly - the focal point of fan frustration. Plenty of times I've seen bad comments about him after a match when I've sat watching at Goodison and thought he was the best player in blue on the pitch. A true professional, and example to others of how a footballer should conduct themselves.

Wish him well at WBA (except when we play them). Thanks for everything GazBaz

We need more younger players who are hungry and ambitious.

Older players have experience yes but a lot are happy to coast now and see out their years

As happy as I am that he's gone you have to say his attitude is brilliant that he's accepted a one year deal from them just to play rather than sit on the bench for two years with us. Very few footballers like that these days
