Sad to see him go, I would have thought with all the games we have he would still get a fair few games, he is behind schneiderlin and Gana, but ahead of McCarthy and Besic. You can understand it if he is going to be first choice at West Brom, this could be his last season, then again he could play till he's 40, do two years at West Brom, then complete the "midlands triangle" and move to Wolves!

He was a very good signing. That first Martinez season was probably my favourite season supporting the club (I am a little too young to recall the 80's). He was terrific that season alongside Jimmy Mac

Sad to see him go. Testament to his professionalism and desire at 36 to still try and find a PL club where he'll be more likely a first team selection. A lesser player would have rested on their laurels to a certain extent and been happy enough to play the odd Europa League game and home match vs. the likes of Brighton or Burnley.

top top professional, and really liked him as a player, could always rely on him, sadly at 36 I don't see him playing too many games now and would not be surprised to see him as a player/coach soon.
