Davis is not really somebody that going to dictate the play from midfield like Morgan and Barry can...he is more of a runner sitting beside the playmaker similar to gueye and McCarty

Either he is sticking with Macca or Besic or Ron will bring someone in

He's been a very solid mainstay of the squad since he's been here, but let's face it he is very limited against quality teams and if at any during the season we are point saying "we shouldn't have let Barry go" then it doesn't say a lot for the expensive squad that has been assembled over the summer. There's an opportunity here for someone to step up and make us realise that we need to aim higher than solid journeymen who are well past their peak.
