Quality episode overall. Loved the Davos, Tower of Joy, KotN and some King's Landing bits.

Did we really need all that Wildfire foreshadowing beforehand? Could have been an interesting twist if the audience didn't see it coming a mile away.

Why couldn't they have done Wyman Manderly's the North Remembers speech? Why not have House Manderly do the Frey pies thing like it is in the books? Instead we have Arya somehow teleporting to the Twins from Braavos and concocting that elaborate pie scheme.

Overall the seasons been a bit disappointing with a few stand out episodes. It's a bit mad how predictable it's become despite the fact that we're outside book territory.

KitN mate ;) Think they should bring back King of Winter though

This, really. All I would add to the list of daft parts was the Dorne bit, which just made Doran's death make even less sense than it did at the time.

So I am just idly reading through asoiaf wiki and reading up on the Rhoynar, that they came to Westeros after a war with Valyria and I found myself becoming very annoyed with the Lannisters, specifically over Tywin having Eddard's sword, Ice (you know, Valyrian steel and whatnot) melted down and reforged. Grrrrrrr!!!!!!!

Signifying the end of House Stark.

Before I start , I need to state I've not read the books so I'm not encumbered by what should've happened, things should have looked like etc..
Finished of season 6 last night and this is still the best thing on TV, I've loved it since it started and yeah ok there's been some slow episodes while the plot builds but have to say the last two episodes were awesome, love it. I would say which bits I like but I've no idea how to do the spoiler thing.

I'm glad I haven't read the books as it seems to spoil the TV show for those who have, perhaps I'll give it a go when the show has finally done

Above the text you write there is a camera icon. Next to that a text box, gives you a few options, one of the being spoiler. Insert that and put the spoiler within the bracketed

As someone said a few pages back - the source material was written by a ridiculously talented author, whereas the newer seasons have been written by a couple of Hollywood grads.

Reading the books first has definitely caused an issue for me - there have been two many sub-plots left out completely, too many times the show has altered a story arc for the sake of it, too little of GRRM's unpredictability. Having said that, they have got the casting spot on for SO many of the characters and most of the acting has been superb.

All in all it is the best thing on tv at the moment - it could and should have been better, but the foolish decision was made at the end of season three to race ahead of the books and we are where we are. It will be a shame when it all ends.

Agreed with that, most of the issues are just the fact the writing in recent seasons doesn't compare well to the source material. That being said the casting, acting, filming, scores, costumes are all very well done
