Needed to see Bran's reaction to what happened during The Door. He ended up seeing a compilation of the last 5 seasons, seemed odd/out of place to me. Was cool to see the Mad King, mind. And Jaime on the throne.

Tommen you utter biff.

Was good to see Edmure and Benjen, finally. Hope they don't kill them off straight away.

Dany's plot didn't progress at all, just a flashy over-the-top CGI fest. Hope they didn't off direwolves just so they could afford dragon CGI instead.

I have noticed this series the writers are pretty much paying fan service and actually being very predictable. Remember last season where barristen was killed off? When the screen cut to black I was actually shocked, did not see that coming. Anyway digressing a little.

Most of the story lines have been predictable so far and benjin and rlj stuff is pleasing the Internet theorists. But going on this train of thought, cersi's trial. She is confident zombie mountain fighting for her, how can she lose? What clever twist will the writers come up with?

How about tommen, aka the king being the champion of the faith?

Can deffo see Frankenmountain killing Tommen, just don't think it'll be during a trial by combat.

It'll be the Hound.

Saw this on reddit and I agree:

I wouldn't have had as much of an issue with it if they didnt make it the last scene. They typically reserve the last scene for huge moments, and this "huge moment" for Dany did not feel earned whatsoever.

Arya blowing out the candle would have been an amazing end to the episode. Oh well.

Arya blows out the candle, the screen goes black. The credits start rolling, but in the background, we hear "Cersei, Illyn Payne, the Red Woman...."

They didn't. George RR Martin killed him off. He told them the general direction his story was going to go, and I don't think that those two have the foresight to connect Hodor to "Hold the door!!!"

That is the author's work that.

Genuinely. Cannot breath here FFS lol

I am almost certain Tommen is gonna die by the end of the season. It is all getting too predictable.

Also, this is the faith involved. Trial by Combat won't be an option. She will be judged by the gods, and her plan is gonna backfire spectacularly.

I like it, I like it a lot.

Who knows if Benjen being Coldhands will be the same for the books but I always figured that was going to happen at some point. Interesting to see the Children of the forest basically made him a semi-other by stabbing him with dragon glass.

Sam's scenes were alright. I liked him taking Heartsbane from Randyll, that's valyrian steel and he is going to need it if he ever goes up north. His storyline seems to require a lot of catching up, I wonder if we'll get Marwyn and some learning montages at Oldtown?

Dany continues to walk on and gives a speech.

It'll be interesting to see what happens to Arya and finally we are going to see some plot movement from her story line.

I think the Blackfish and the Brotherhood without Banners will play out interesting against Jaime with some speculating that we might just get to see some stone heart action later this season. Given they have brought some actors back it might happen.

What an absolute meh episode. I felt like that was an hour wasted.

Mace.....great speech?? It was absolutely awful. And I think it was supposed to be. It did effectively show what a useless leader he is though. Remember, his own mother described him as an oaf!

Benjen......saw that coming a mile off. Last week I mentioned to the wife that Benjen will come and rescue Bran and Meera. This week he did./SPOILER]

Haha you're right about Mace, but that's what I like about him. The way Jaime looked at him.....
