New director Jack Bender ( 38 episodes of lost ,oh God) says series 6 will be 'mind bogglingly brilliant' and best ever! Christ we have 8 months of this ridiculous hype to contend with it reaching face eating proportions once the cast join in.

Every interview before the last series people were saying, "I can't believe it, it's going to be more shocking than the Red Wedding"

.... didn't quite happen. Wasn't really impressed with Series 5. It had it's moments, the battle with the White Walkers was by far the best episode.

The problem is this obsession with butchering the big cast members. It's seriously losing its impact as you now expect nearly every main character to be murdered horribly at some point.

On another note, wtf happened to Bran & Hodor? They arrived at that strange tree thing at the end if series 4 and there was no mention of them this series...

no room in the series mate.

Next series instead of having brand new stories they are just using stories from the books they cut out.

Essentially they might end up with only one original series so to speak, but there will be two original books

Hope they kill sansa off

She's a right whinger. Does my fruit in.

I know she gets treated like [Poor language removed] by watching her dad get his head chopped off, made to look at it, beaten and abused by Joffrey, bullied by Cersei, accused of murder, gets kissed and fingered by littlefinger (ok ok i added the last bit in) then watched lysa arryn gets pushed through the moon door and lies about it, gets raped by ramsey bolton. There's more I'm missing but she does get some [Poor language removed].

The annoying thing is that she doesn't DO anything. She's just there and lets things happen to her. It's mad. She can't even light a bloody candle and when she finally does it's too late!

New to this thread so I thought I'd throw out this guys vids about they helped me loads with the little stories cause I'd never read the books.
All of them are worth watching.

If I recall correctly (so probably not) in the books the concurrant events are split between 2 different books. Perhaps this will be reflected in the next series.

I think Little-finger is my favourite. He reminds me of a guy called Charles Maurice de Talleyrand-Périgord - Former Minister of Foreign Affairs for Napoleon.

Next season is supposed to be coming out AFTER the next Damn book comes out. Pretty much everyone has agreed to it, GRRM is finishing the next book. So that should have new material. Interesting thing is going to be the last season. How are they going to work that with a book that absolutely won't be done by it?

Heard rumours they might go all 'origin story' on us and do the whole Robert's Rebellion storyline in between. Which I wouldn't mind terribly..

This would be a very good idea. Would be great to see Sir Barristan actually being developed as a character!
