....I loved him, tremendous goalscoring record. 56 goals in 97 games for the Toffees. 5 goals in just 3 games for England. Wow.
I have a vague recollection of a European midweek game where he went off injured and came back on bloodied and bandaged, just like Dave Hickson.
He might be gone but his record will always be there for future generations of Evertonians to read and give a nod of respect.
