Francis Jeffers Left Wife ‘Fearing For Her Life’

The post i replied to said Jeffers went a bit mental.
He ended up sending her a few threatening messages.
I just said that I know how these things could end once a fellas head has gone.
Genuine personal experience and something not to be taken lightly.
I was digging for more info, don't suppose your mate is called Frang

Agree, judge him on his ability as a coach. Everton FC said yesterday that it is a personal and private matter and they will not be making any further statements on the matter. I take it that means the club will not be taking any action against the player.
Perhaps the club are aware of more to this story than the paper/clickbait headline suggests. I'm not defending him, but some women are quite capable of knowing exactly the buttons to push to wind somebody up to breaking point. We hear a lot about physical violence from men, yet the mental assault - the persistent whining, digging and bitching that is in some women's arsenal often goes uncommented upon. Who knows how people react at breaking point? What kind of idiot pushes somebody there? What's more suffering such a mental assault makes a weak defense when verbalised to anybody who hasn't experienced it.

I'm not saying any if this is how it is - but we don't know the whole story of the facts that drove him to these threats, how hollow they were, or how much his wife MAY have overreacted on hearing them.

Havent we all made our parents angry as kids, and them threaten to kill us? I know I have - and I never once 'feared for my life' - but if I wanted to for a court, to score a point, and had the words of an idiot conveniently typed on a screen as evidence - then I could have easily be conveniently fearful.

Some social warriors will now likely round on me for having dared try to look at or imagine the story from the other side and not automatically join in with the herd mentality of trying to look good by joining in the attack. I shall not rise to the bait - just hate me - I'm from a sticks and stones generation.

Having postulated all this he should still he slung out simply for having fled to arsenal and telling Rooney to do the same. Never warmed to him.

Not a fan of Jeffers...

Looks like hes gone out and seen his ex mrs with another bloke and sent a few nasty messages.

I think thats all there is to it. Just lost his head. Seems to be a one-off.
I hope so mate...

But I have seen some a-holes with ridiculously fragile over-inflated egos and severe insecurities completely fly off the hook because their missus couldn't take anymore of their BS and walked out on them. They turn into complete monsters incapable of letting it go because 'How dare she leave me!!!'

Little boys with big egos... Seriously hope this is a once off.

What a fine example to our young players. Wasted his natural ability being an utter bellend. Gets thrown a lifeline by the club & gets himself convicted for threats of murder.

Nil Satis Nisi Optimum my ar5e!

No mention of Duncs numerous convictions for assault and imprisonment + a drink drive job on eve of derby.

That was OK cos he scored at the kopites - in fact we gave him bagpipes and a line of honour on his return from the big house.

I take your point, Chris.

What you’re referring to was known in law as an ‘IdleThreat’.

The game-changer was the creation of the Protection from Harassment Act of the late nineties which, while well intended, sort of let things get a little out of hand, being applied willy-nilly, here and there, from anything to neighbour disputes to spats between mothers collecting children outside the school gates; which is when everyone started ‘fearing for me life’.

Historically, you may recall the Act itself was the result of the queer behaviour of that German odd-bod who pursued Lady Di.

World’s gone mad.

Id say 90% of the time ive gone a bit loco when splitting up with someone...not sent death threats though.

20 year relationship broken...so frannys lost it.

Because people like Ferguson kiss the right arse, so these losers are kept close to the club but ex players with a winner's mentality like Neville Southall can't get anywhere near Finch Farm because he's called the board out for years,

I don't know why Jeffers was brought in to help out with the kids and I don't know why we felt we had to let Baxter come and train here because he threw his own career down the swany, two players that swerved Everton

I hear you mate, especially if you really didn't do anything wrong to warrant a breakup.

Death threats are a completely other level though...

A well made point.

I guess after the steady destruction of the education by political interference, it was inevitable that the laws ended up being made by those incapable of thinking of consequences.

Like her having the audacity to date someome else? How dare she. Toxic masculinty in all its glorious form

Maybe making a moral stand against domestic violence and not have him as someone our young players look up to. Suppose Newcastle should have kept Beardsley too, as being racist was wrong but whats sacking him going to achieve.

She didnt, he was obviously named in court is the defendent so it will have been picked up there. If she was intending to go to the papers we would have heard anout it much earlier.
Best tell Pickford to pack his bags as well if that’s always the answer, street fighting isn’t so glamorous either. Just to be clear he is out of order in doing what he has done, but I’m sure we havnt got the full story as that doesn’t ‘sell’ so well or get the clicks.
