Phew, that'll appease Barclays for the summer then.......

God damn you this a football team not some mother loving accountancy exercise. Get out of my club!

Oh go suck on a lemon!

Forshaw is wahsrof backwards.

If that's not a sign, I don't know what is.
Incidentally, Baines is Seniab....interesting, no?

Extremely.

Get a room FFS.

disappointed in this news, thought he would be a 1st team fringer next season

He may well have been - but credit to the lad, rather than playing reserve team football and only getting on the bench if there is an injury crisis he decided to leave his home town club and go and play first team football.

He's also intelligent enough to know that if younger players than him like Barkley are already regularly on the bench and occasionally starting, his opportunities are going to be extremely limited.

Would perhaps have been nice to see him kept on by us and loaned out for another season to see if he could then step up the way Ossie did - but it sounds as though it was his decision in the end.

what is it with us and the Bees. We sent Jake Bidwell (I think?) and another lad to them this year on loan.

Edit: Doh, the other lad was Forshaw

does anyone know how much we got for him?

fleetwood town just received £1million for a non league player so i fully expect us to get at least a bit of decent moola

Really?

The fee was undisclosed so that could mean Everton don't want us to know how much we sold him for because it was pennies, or so that other teams don't know how much money we have. But tbh I would've guessed it was deffo under 1mil?

Yeah of that i have no doubt and its very annoying that non league players jamie vardy or whatever his name is has been sold for a mill having played last season in the conference, its shocking. I would of thought Forshaw having played for brentford should at least command a figure similar but us being us prob sold him for magic beans.

Kenwright probably sold him for a yorkie bar

All the young lads are up against it to get into the first team. I'm pretty sure that Forshaw is glad that he has been given the opportunity to go to Brentford. They aren't Everton, true, but for him it is a far better fate than training all week and never getting a proper match for years on end.
Good luck to him. I hope a premiership or championship team has to pay Brentford a load of dosh to buy him in the future.
I'd tell him to go and enjoy his football and prove the Everton decision-makers wrong. Lets face it, it wouldn't be the first time.
