All the young lads are up against it to get into the first team. I'm pretty sure that Forshaw is glad that he has been given the opportunity to go to Brentford. They aren't Everton, true, but for him it is a far better fate than training all week and never getting a proper match for years on end.
Good luck to him. I hope a premiership or championship team has to pay Brentford a load of dosh to buy him in the future.
I'd tell him to go and enjoy his football and prove the Everton decision-makers wrong. Lets face it, it wouldn't be the first time.

I can't think of a youth player that we have let go that would get into our first team other than Rooney.

Went on the Brentford forum, apparently he went for free with a future transfer fee clause involved. I'd love to know where our players went after they left us from the reserves and that.

I was always impressed by Forshaw. He seemed a typical Moyes player -- tidy, worked hard, and as a wide right player he was good at helping out his full back. I was surprised Moyes let him go.
