Ok lads ok. All about the play offs which to be honest I prefer than an automatic promotionAFC Fylde vs AFC Wimbledon
14th September 2030
Wimbledon made an impressive start to the League One season and were second in the table five points off leaders Preston. Euan Henderson was back in for Fylde and Ferguson went with Josh Maja up front with Tyrone O'Neill unable to find the net this season. Five minutes in and Bytheway was running at the Wimbledon backline and all they could do was back off, he played it wide to Jones on the left who took a look up and crossed with his left foot into the feet of Maja who put it past the keeper! A good start for Fylde but they couldn't hold it and on 22 minutes Ross Rimmer received the ball from the free-kick on the edge of the box and wasn't closed down, he hit a low drive into the bottom corner. Wimbledon sparked into life after the equaliser but Fylde defended well although they made hard work of it at times. Josh Maja took the ball in the Wimbledon half and got it wide for Henderson, he crossed for Bytheway in the box and his header was saved by the keeper, the ball came back to Bytheway and his shot was blocked. Fylde kept coming forward and were buoyed by the fans, Bytheway rose above the defence from Henderson's cross and the keeper saved well. A minute later Josh Ferguson took a pop from outside the box and it was inches wide of the post. Josh Ferguson took the ball nicely away from his marker from the throw-in deep in the opposition half, he turned and crossed for Henderson who buried the header in stoppage time of the first half! With less than 20 minutes to go it had been mostly Fylde but Wimbledon got the ball into the area and Alan O'Neill committed a foul to concede a penalty. Bertie confidently sent Hadler the wrong way and levelled for Wimbledon. With three minutes to go, Allcock toom the corner and found Geoff Pitman who ran free of Daniel Embid and put Wimbledon 3-2 up! Wimbledon took their chances and fought back to win the match when it seemed Fylde were just coasting at 2-1 and thought the game was won.

Crewe Alexandra vs AFC Fylde
21st September 2030
The tenth game of the season and it was a trip to 19th placed Crewe Alexandra who survived relegation by a single point last season. Ryan Wilson took the ball at the halfway line and ran at speed past two opposing players, played it wide to Bytheway but the keeper tipped the shot wide. Wisdom took the corner and Feeney headed it across goal and Bytheway was there to nod it in on the goal line! Fylde were playing well and the ball from Wilson from the midfield was sublime to Henderson who caught it on his left foot but it sailed wide. Josh Maja was having a quiet game up front and was replaced by Sam Allaway on 62 minutes. With 19 minutes to go, Mark Morton beat his man to cross into the box for Henderson to knock it home at the far post, Fylde get the second goal to tie this match up. His 150th goal for AFC Fylde! Fylde thought it was job done but Crewe had other ideas and were caught napping at the back allowing Max Topliss to score to claw one back. With ten minutes to go, Crewe were hoping to equalise, Fylde were prone to conceding late goals and Ferguson was in his technical box screaming instructions to his players. Morton got forwar down the right once again and found Henderson with a precise cross for him to score his second! Fylde restored the two goal cushion! Fylde got the win and fought hard against a resilient Crewe team but they will need to up their levels against better opposition.

Oldham Athletic vs AFC Fylde
28th September 2030
Duncan Ferguson stated his players are determined to put their recent displays behind them and play that scintillating football that got them promoted two seasons ago. Ferguson is known for giving his players a chance and Josh Maja started the match ahead of Tyrone O'Neill today. The first goal didn't take long and it was the home side who got it, Rathbone was too quick for Feeney and he got goal side and beat Foster with a right footed shot after 10 minutes. Oldham were pressing Fylde in their own half and the playing out from the back tactic was not allowing them any space. Josh Maja got onto the loose ball but was dispossessed, Tipple played it long and Rathbone shrugged off Alan O'Neill and curled it into the top corner to make it two. Five minutes to go to half-time, Morton took the ball outside the Oldham penalty area, chipped it in nicely for Ferguson to head at goal but the keeper got down to the post to save, it came back out to Ferguson and he put it in to get one back for The Coasters! Mick Wisdom was replaced at half-time by Daniel Embid after getting a finger injury. Cole Dasilva was causing mayhem down the Fylde right and he found Rathbone in the box to seal his hat-trick after 52 minutes. Josh Maja was taken off after another below average performance and Tyrone O'Neill took to the field. Euan Henderson played a nice pass to John Jones who tricked his way past Docherty and played into feet for Josh Ferguson to slot his second and pull a goal back for Fylde with 30 minutes to play. The match was certainly full of goals and it was Fylde's defensive frailties letting them down, Alex Gilbert was allowed too much space in the box and he buried it to make it 4-2. Alex Gilbert wrapped it up on 82 minutes when they came forward against the run of play and he got in behind and made it 5. What an embarrassing collapse from Fylde. Henderson played it wide to Oto'o and he raced forward down the right, played it into the feet of Tyrone O'Neill who scored to get his first of the season but too late for a comeback for Fylde. Usually if you score three goals at Boundary Park you come away with three points but Oldham destroyed the Fylde defence.
DF: This result makes me look at individuals and their desire, some players are getting older and I have to question their passion for this club. They can't just expect to turn up because we have won this league before, they need to battle each and every game. They are not even breaking a sweat.

AFC Fylde vs Bury
1st October 2030
Ferguson went with an attacking three of Pirone, Maja and O'Neill in the search for goals and a much needed three points in the home match against second bottom Bury. Jordan Wilson picked up a booking after 5 minutes which means he wil be suspended for the next match. The first goal came to the away side when Watson headed against the bar from the corner and it deflected in off Neil Foster going down as an own goal. Morton came down the right on 39 minutes, played it back to Wilson and he played it back to Morton to cross for Maja who controlled it well, turned and blasted it into the top corner! 1-1! Bury restored their lead not long into the second half, the Fylde marking was disappointing and Coll won the header to put his team back in front. With fifteen minutes to go, Fylde were looking better with the introduction of Henderson and Bytheway on the flanks. Jones played it to Wilson who headed towards goal and the ball looped over the keeper but he done well to backpeddle and keep it out, Wilson followed it up and the keeper took his legs, penalty to Fylde! Euan Henderson with the chance to get back in the game, he puts it into the back of the net! 2-2! Jones took the throw with seconds to go, Wisdom with the ball on the edge of the box he tried to get it in but it was blocked and the whislte was blown. Fylde salvage a point but it seems their hopes of winning the league are dwindling.
