Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson steps into management.....

WATSON IDENTIFIES AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT

Dave Watson was getting into the role as manager and discussing with the Liverpool Echo this week he confirmed areas of the squad that need improvement. "I'm working closely with Colin [Harvey] about whether we can bring in new additions, ideally I'd say we need a Left and Right Winger to improve our team. We've got Mitch Ward and Peter Degn occupying the right winger slot but I feel we may need more experience. Gareth Farrelly is over on the left and he needs competition. I'll take a look at them in pre-season to see what they can do but I want balls into the box for the big man, he will thrive on that."

TRANSFER RUMOURS

Everton have been linked with two right sided midfielders. Petr Papousak from Sparta Prague can play both left and right, the 21 year old possesses good pace and likes to dazzle supporters with his dribbling. He can cross a ball too. Currently part of the Czech Republic U21 set-up with 5 U21 caps.

The next name linked is 27 year old Polish Winger Tomasz Iwan. Iwan currently representing PSV in Holland. PSV finished runners up in Eredivisie to Ajax. Iwan possesses a great amount of skill and speed and would be a great acquisition for The Toffees.
