Form is Temporary, Classlessness is Permanent

I'm just avoiding the swear filter like a cool kid.

We made a huge profit on him, he scored lots of goals for us and at no stage did he ever let us believe that he "got" Everton.
He was talking about leaving almost as soon as he arrived.

I was infinitely more upset over Rooney leaving, but when Lukaku goes through his bad spells and Utd supporters get on his back I will feel a small sense of satisfaction.

I am not that bothered by his reaction.......I do agree that under the circumstances it was a little bit tasteless and a big bit classless.

But then again ol' Khal spent summer holidays on his grandad's family farm in Ireland and knows to expect nowt but a grunt from a pig.

And to me, Lukaku was never going to enter the hearts and souls of True Blues the way other fellows Jim mentions did.

Add the likes of Andy King, Neville Southall, Brian Labone and Peter Farrell to what would be a very, very long list of players we loved above and beyond their ability on the pitch.

No sir......Lukaku scored goals for us and boy, do we miss those goals.

But the Romelu Lukaku of the sulky displays, the non celebration of goals he scored for us, the mouthing off every time he went on international duty?

No thanks.

He will not be recalled with the same affection by the millennials in forty years time the way the baby boomers still love Micky Lyons et al ;)

Haha! How many of the beauts crying over what he did and saying he has no class were clamouring for us to use the money we got for him on Costa or Vardy, each of whom could be the absolute definition of classless?

He was the best goalscorer we have had at this club since the eighties, he was our top scorer every season with us, was rarely injured and we sold him for roughly three times what we bought him for? I hope to God we get more 'classless' players like him!

He 'owes Everton' he's 'classless' - what does any of this mean? Do you think the same of Everton for the way they treated McGeady, Niasse, Green, Bilyaletdinov? Any of the numerous players Everton have bought and then not helped progress?

Grown man moves job. People shout abuse at him for moving job, often the same people who shouted abuse at his last job. He responds in a fine jokey way. Another grown man (I presume?) responds with over the top nonsense suggesting the media should have, what? Investigated? Done op-ed pieces about it? Sent photographers to his house?

That you put this 'The fact that their exalted position is built on the hard earned money of those who sit in the stands or watch at home seemingly passes them by. They are economic operators and nothing else, their loyalty paper thin.' and ignore that it's a two-way street shows up a lot of this article

??. FFS. I got sucked in by an intriguing title. I haven't read a single word of the other Lukaku thread eulogising him , condemning him , who knows or cares, I just shook my head in bewilderment as I kept seeing the thread coming up as people posted. Lukaku has gone, move on, thanks for the memories, I won't criticise him he's a modern day footballer who goes where the money is , PSG next as Cavani's replacement and double his money probably, but again who cares.
I'm an Evertonian , I'll admire but care little for other clubs players, that we should have two threads to him in the Everton Forum is baffling to me, sometimes GOT is bizarre. Stick both in World Football.

He might make a list of our all time top 10 strikers.
Easily one of the best during the premiership years though.

Other than that as others have said...NEA
